If this was a national poll done like an election, then BoA would win.

Yeah, voting EA again is just stupid. There's no other way about it.

This, really. I'm not American, don't have any friends or family in the US, don't know anyone who has been affected by BoA, and I'm an avid gamer whose favourite leisure pursuit has been negatively impacted by EA's anti-consumer, pro DRM stance. I still think BoA is worse, just really because foreclosing on people's mortgages and making them homeless is more offensive and morally repugnant than whether or not a video game manufacturer even exists, let alone whether they're crap. IMO, obviously.

I just wish this were a worldwide competition, because then it would have opened things up for stunningly incompetent companies like TEPCO - you remember them and the meltdowns in three reactors at their nuclear power plant in Fukushima, right? And how they completely ignored warnings about potential tsunami wave heights (and basically lied about it later), resulting in the plant being built in a location that wasn't actually safe?

I think EA deserves to be slagged for the issues over SimCity for sure. But to put things in perspective, there are much worse companies in this world than EA. *points at TEPCO again*

As much as I hate EA in the follow up to ME3, TOR, DS3, and SimCity 5 along with the shady and disturbing reliance on nickel and diming their customers, there are worse companies out there.

Much worse. BoA of course, Carnival was pretty bad, AT&T and Comcast are both terrible, etc.

Though in regards to gaming, EA definitely takes the cake. The head operations guy was pretty unapologetic in his "apology".

Blaming fans who don't like ME3's ending, who don't like micro-transactions, to even blaming people who didn't agree which NFL Player was on the cover of their Madden games.

And of course, EA believes there's a conspiracy by the extreme right wing media to convince people to vote for and boycott EA games due to homophobia.

Unbelievable, again? Seriously, if EA beats Bank of America one of the biggest scumbags in the world then they really should take not, this is the SECOND time the beat those scumbags. I was really hoping EA wouldn't beat companies like AT&T, Bank of America and other fine examples of humanity.

I don't like EA but I think other companies deserve this more than EA.

I don't know if this poll should be taken seriously, but here's my piece on it:

This is one of the most upsetting things that I have ever seen in the gaming community. EA didn't even get noticed by the Consumerist until the year they won their first Golden Poo award. EA is now just being a **** smear, and is currently creating more smears in the gaming community.

I can't begin to wonder how they manage to beat out Bank of America, a company that has been known to ruin people's lives, charge people more incidentally for house mortgages, having bad customer service, leaving out family loss as a factor for anything, and making bad business decisions such as buying out failing subsidiaries that make them lose money.

No it should not be taken seriously.

Hop on the band wagon. These are the people that travel the internet so the consumerist is feeding into it and getting the traffic they want that pays the bills.

And really this time last year was the height of the ME3 outrage. With roving bands of petulant gamers going to every site possible to tell people to go vote EA because they did not like a video game.

Easy to win a internet poll like this, its called a votebot (look it up). I gamers on the internet are some of the most spiteful and vindictive people I have ever ran across.

You know this may be a crazy idea but maybe EA will learn from this. After all to ‘win' twice in a row suggests something wrong with EA's image, no? Who knows maybe they'll improve and we'll see-:

Nice leap of logic. Of course one person on a right-wing (judging by the title and comments) site who is homophobic is obviously a gamer and obviously any gamer who voted EA is a right wing homophobe.

Yeah some people will vote EA due to their own bigoted views. But so what? Some people didn't vote for Barrack Obama because they thought he was the anti-christ, it doesn't mean everyone who didn't vote for him believes the same thing.

Nor me or EA made the claim that EVERY person that voted against them or would believed the same thing. That's your leap of logic and poor reading comprehension or desperate attempt to twist others words to make them out to be worse then they actually are.

The point is that EA is affected by this poll. If their PR takes hits, they lose pre-orders,they lose money. Their stock is abysmal. BoA? not so much.You can hate them all you want, they will still take your home if they want and give you the middle finger on top of that. I'd even put up a legit case for Carnival Cruises. People being forced to live and sleep on the decks of ships that are drifting powerless in the middle of the Caribbean because Carnival is waiting for a company power ship to tow them back to a US port because Carnival doesn't want to pay to have them use a port on some island. And then refusing to reimburse the passengers, even refusing to pay their airfare back home.
