BoA would win if the poll was only for people who live in the USA, that's not the case. Anyone can vote. Thus people who live outside the states are not affected by BoA and will vote for the company they hate.
I would be disgusted if anyone from Spain would vote EA. I have no idea of the situation in America, but the crisis has hit Spain to the point that people commit suicide because they can't afford to pay their homes... AFTER they're taking from them.
Yeah, voting EA again is just stupid. There's no other way about it.

Not only that, but due to abusive clauses on the mortages, you still owe the bank the loan money after they take your home away.simfamSP wrote...

Eh, you can respond to something even when you know it's full of ****. It's actually sort of sad seeing EA have to treat belligerent, childish attackers maturely.Dave of Canada wrote...

EA, like most intelligent people, know to disregard this particular poll.
Then they should stop responding to it.
I wish it was acceptable for EA and any other game company to literally give haters the middle finger. I wish an EA executive could shoot a video saying, verbatim, "We will not be cowed by faux internet majorities. We're listening to the constructive criticism from our loyal fans, but everyone else can go **** themselves."
That's what I thought.M25105 wrote..

It is just that the internet has so many gamers on it compared to the real world.
If this was a national poll done like an election, then BoA would win.
Since it is online it is skewed towards gamers.
That being said:

Also prepare for this thread to be locked down because BiowarEA wont let a thread filled with haters, homophobes, and people who attack their "valid" work stay up

This, really. I'm not American, don't have any friends or family in the US, don't know anyone who has been affected by BoA, and I'm an avid gamer whose favourite leisure pursuit has been negatively impacted by EA's anti-consumer, pro DRM stance. I still think BoA is worse, just really because foreclosing on people's mortgages and making them homeless is more offensive and morally repugnant than whether or not a video game manufacturer even exists, let alone whether they're crap. IMO, obviously.

I think EA deserves to be slagged for the issues over SimCity for sure. But to put things in perspective, there are much worse companies in this world than EA. *points at TEPCO again*

Much worse. BoA of course, Carnival was pretty bad, AT&T and Comcast are both terrible, etc.
Though in regards to gaming, EA definitely takes the cake. The head operations guy was pretty unapologetic in his "apology".
Blaming fans who don't like ME3's ending, who don't like micro-transactions, to even blaming people who didn't agree which NFL Player was on the cover of their Madden games.
And of course, EA believes there's a conspiracy by the extreme right wing media to convince people to vote for and boycott EA games due to homophobia.

I don't like EA but I think other companies deserve this more than EA.

I don't know if this poll should be taken seriously, but here's my piece on it:
This is one of the most upsetting things that I have ever seen in the gaming community. EA didn't even get noticed by the Consumerist until the year they won their first Golden Poo award. EA is now just being a **** smear, and is currently creating more smears in the gaming community.
I can't begin to wonder how they manage to beat out Bank of America, a company that has been known to ruin people's lives, charge people more incidentally for house mortgages, having bad customer service, leaving out family loss as a factor for anything, and making bad business decisions such as buying out failing subsidiaries that make them lose money.
No it should not be taken seriously.
Hop on the band wagon. These are the people that travel the internet so the consumerist is feeding into it and getting the traffic they want that pays the bills.
And really this time last year was the height of the ME3 outrage. With roving bands of petulant gamers going to every site possible to tell people to go vote EA because they did not like a video game.
Easy to win a internet poll like this, its called a votebot (look it up). I gamers on the internet are some of the most spiteful and vindictive people I have ever ran across.

“But his silliest reason for EA likely to win the award was because the people who complained were homophobes. Moore claimed that EA's decision to allow users to create lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered (LGBT) characters in some of its games has resulted in a voting campaign orchestrated by conservatives."

Nice leap of logic. Of course one person on a right-wing (judging by the title and comments) site who is homophobic is obviously a gamer and obviously any gamer who voted EA is a right wing homophobe.

Yeah some people will vote EA due to their own bigoted views. But so what? Some people didn't vote for Barrack Obama because they thought he was the anti-christ, it doesn't mean everyone who didn't vote for him believes the same thing.

Ticketmaster is still a lot worse, IMHO.
EDIT: Hopefully EA does get a lot better THIS time around.

What, like EA and literally every other AAA company has done for the last decade? Two decades.
What an idiot. I suspect this writer doesn't know what he's talking about.
I will say EA blaming conservatives and "homophobes" (a phrase used by people who don't understand it) is very, very not cool.
But it's a video game, people. Hedonism. Control yourselves. Sheesh.
Cool. I like this comment. Arianus approved +5

Nor me or EA made the claim that EVERY person that voted against them or would believed the same thing. That's your leap of logic and poor reading comprehension or desperate attempt to twist others words to make them out to be worse then they actually are.

I'd even put up a legit case for Carnival Cruises. People being forced to live and sleep on the decks of ships that are drifting powerless in the middle of the Caribbean because Carnival is waiting for a company power ship to tow them back to a US port because Carnival doesn't want to pay to have them use a port on some island. And then refusing to reimburse the passengers, even refusing to pay their airfare back home.

The point is that EA is affected by this poll. If their PR takes hits, they lose pre-orders,they lose money. Their stock is abysmal. BoA? not so much. You can hate them all you want, they will still take your home if they want and give you the middle finger on top of that. EA depends on "petulant childish gamers" to stay in buisness.
I can agree with this. It is a valid point.
