Those articles are misleading. Conroy never specifies Arkham Origins, he just says "The next Arkham game". If he is in Arkham Origins, then I hope the plot is told through a framed narrative with present-day Batman being voiced by Conroy. He could also have meant a possible Rocksteady game, kinda wish he had been specific. Whatever the case I'm not too thrilled about Origins.

Kevin Conroy on Twitter today

"Confusion in Dallas! I am in new ARKHAM GAME coming soon, not ARKHAM ORIGINS coming this fall."

Batman will be voiced by Roger Craig Smith (Ezio Auditore) while Joker will be voiced by Troy Baker (Booker DeWitt).

There will be another new trailer at E3, and here are some *spoiler* things concerning a little plot and gameplay.

I don't care about the voices, since the new ones are from some grade A voice actors.

I want to see whether this game will be like the others, or a more low tech version, since this takes place in the past.

Mainly, I want a great and fun batman game, and I hope they can capture the magic of the other games. It seems like they will, if the trailer is any indication.

Roger and Troy are cool, voicing some pretty dope anime and video game characters. As far as Joker goes, they should have gotten John DiMaggio to do it though.

That I can agree with - There is no denying that Baker is talented, but he's already voicing 2 other characters within the Arkham-verse. In that sense, it just seems rather cheap why they couldn't have picked another one from the giant bowl of voice actors that exist. My main problem with this game, so far, isn't really the lack of the original voices as much it is the feeling that this game is just a cheap cash-in to squeeze some more money out of Arkham, before next-gen arrives. It manifests the fear that the Arkham-franchise will become the next Assasins Creed -- Getting endless amounts of uninovative sequels, interquels, which are all more of the same, instead of trying to reinvent/work on what previous games did right and take it to the next level  They haven't shown any gameplay yet, despite the fact that the supposed release date isn't that far off too. Then again, E3 is not far off, so we'll se there. Plus making it a prequel seems like a step backwards. Won't that mean that Batman will lose the big array of gadgets he had in Arkham Asylum & City, or at least it won't be quite as inventive. I think it would have made sense to make an Arkham/and or Batman utilizing the entirety of Gotham City as a sequel to City. But that's just me.

I feel that Troy would have been the better voice for Batman, especially hearing his voice in BioShock.

And the Joker who's NOT Mark Mark Hamill? How will I get used to this?!

Giving the enemies a few new ways to get ahead of Batman isn't enough to warrant it less of a cheap cash-in installment of this franchise. It's the same with Assassins Creed -- At best you might see a few new mechanics but nothing's really changed. I want the next Arkham game to feel like it's improving upon its predecessor in many ways. Arkham City had better and more challenging boss fights, larger areas of exploration, more complex and varied Riddler puzzles, improved combat, various enemy types etc.

You're thinking this game will be GOTY? It's got some tough competition.

True, but i was reminiscing about Arkham City's GOTY photoshop box covers, as it made for some good comedy back then.

How in the world are they going to make a third Batman game that doesn't taste like milk? I figure that Arkham City basically had the whole Batman style of justice down to perfection. Which is exactly what I thought after completing Asylum, so I just don't know what to think anymore... the only two ways I can think of is to add additional player characters (think justice League) or to change the setting to the same kind of cyberpunk Gotham as was shown in Batman Beyond. I'm not seeing any of that potential in an origin story, and I'm suspicious that they're just trying to cash in on an origin story just because it's a current trend.

Looks like Slade from Teen Titans.

No Rocksteady? Not interested but I may have a peek a more information is released. For now, it isn't on my radar.

Slade was pretty much a renamed Deathstroke.

But ya going to wait till there is a little more info.

Slade IS Deathstroke. Slade is his first name.

Except TT Slade is nowhere near as cool as mainstream Deathstroke.

Is it known who will be voicing Deathstroke yet? Perlman? Haven't played any of the Arkham games yet but he was one of my favorite characters from the comics, so his inclusion has got me interested.

I like how Batman looks so revolted. It's almost enough to make me believe that the cover was designed in that way as a commentary on the state of video gaming journalism and the fact that any game can be a smash hit if enough money if the media is paid well enough.

I wouldn't worry too much about the voice actors. They didn't cheap out by paying for amature actors in the first two and it wouldn't make sense to start cutting back on the actor budget now on one of the most successful things WB has going.

Disregarding the rather poorly designed covers of the Arkham Games, I'd have to say that Arkham City had earned the praise from critics. Not that it doesn't make the satirical take on the GOTY edition any less hilarious.

Copperhead is set to appear in Arkham Origins, though as female.. ? Those who've watched the Justice League cartoon might memorize him as a male snake dude with a silly orange snake costume. Also Batgirl will probably appear in the Challenge Maps, I think. Personally I'd rather have her be playable in the story mode, as it would warrant a reconsideration of maybe getting this game after all.

They seem to be trying to add an air of mystery to Copperhead, reports of male and female, possible group of assassins. Might have been better if they left the trailer more ambiguous. That or just make it some really annoying ginger kid.

You're only buying it if Batgirl is in it? It's only a couple of years into Batman's career, it's probably too early for Batgirl or Robin.

Only buying it? No, I'm considering it though since I've always wanted Batgirl to appear and be playable. Nothing of this really piques my interest at all - It still comes off as a cheap-cash, where nothing's really changed from Arkham City if any of the gameplay trailers is something to go by. I could also live without having The Joker in the game once more and instead get Firefly or other missed-out characters from Batman's rogue gallery - Instead they chose to look outside the Gotham toy-box which is a shame. I'll still watch this game though since I love Rocksteady's Arkham games after all.
