Mine arrived today, don't worry everyone it's just as good as Arkham Asylum/City :D

What about the plot is it as good as city was because that is my main fear for this game.

The plot is just too different to City for them to be compared, but from what I've played so far it's fine.

Its keeping me interested anyway :)

Until we get some reviews, why not read an article on why there aren't any yet?

If the worst they can really say is that it's more of the same, then I'll happily take that. I'm not expecting a revolution this generation, just as long as it doesn't become another COD, Assassins Creed or FIFA.

I'm playing it and after some initial trouble getting it to start I've had no issues except not being as good as I used to be. I'm not sure if I'm just rusty or if there's something different about the fighting, I've yet to get a combo over 30 hits because a lot of the time I just can't avoid hits, they seem like they are too far to hit me but wind up connecting anyway. Then I feel they are going to hit me from a distance and hit Y to counter, of course they are getting nowhere near me and I ruin the combo. I dunno if it's me screwing up and I'm missing a subtle clue or if it's a bit messed up this time.

Other than that I've been quite enjoying it.

Nah I'm lying. I can't even play it on account of having a PS2, 3DS, and a wack laptop. I'm assuming Arkham Origins would suffer from "More of the sameitis" if I were to play. If that is the case that would be best case scenario considering that's what I'm expecting. If that's true, than it would be worth the purchase. I'll get it eventually whenever I get my hands on a PS3. Or a gaming PC. Whichever comes first.

What I've read amounts to what you're saying, that it's "more of the same" and seems to be trying to live up to the previous instalments rather than expand on them. There seems to be a cool detective thingy (yes, I'm calling it that) that allows you to reconstruct the scene of the crime and find clues. In any event, "more of the same" is not a bad thing when referring to the Arkham games.

All I know from what I've seen is that Troy Baker actually makes a really good Joker.

It is exactly more of the same. It's Arkham City, it's the exact same city just several years earlier, I've been gliding around and finding places from the last game. It's mostly the same gadgets you finished AC with. It's more of the same, but with a different story, which what I've seen so far has been quite enjoyable.

That's all I wanted from it really, it's only three games into the series and only the second open world game, so it's not like its crying out for innovation just yet, considering how right the first two games got it. It's not like they have been pumping the same game out yearly for years.

I'd be worried if the next one, probably on next gen is more of the same. But right now, it's not a massive issue and just more Arkham, which is excellent.

Pretty much. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" can be beneficial at times though. Everyone at EA Sports who worked on NBA Elite and showed off a "from the ground up" product so poor that they haven't released a NBA Live game in three years would've done themselves a favor by following it. Although their situation was more of a "If it needs work, scrap it" model.

I probably clocked in around 30 with 75% Riddler completion, but the campaign itself only lasts around ~10 hours if you speed through the story.
