Brings alot of questions with ...well no answers that I can think of.
From the Lore, species are immortalized in reaper form, but that is before Synthesis so... duno man, duno

Personally, I disregarded Sovereigns claims when the Alliance blew him to hell. Free of all weakness, my ass.
Technically he was pretty invulnerable and free of all weaknessess. Unfortunately Huskified Saren was not...and it turns out Sovvy's one weakness was having his essense destroyed while possessing another body.
If all Reapers were like Sovereign Earth would have fallen in a few days

This is a typical Reaper talking point...
Paul Grayson: “We are the pinnacle of evolution, Yet we see potential in your species. You can be elevated. The weakness of organic flesh can be cast aside. You can transcend yourselves.”
Paul Grayson:
That’s a good thing. Influence can work both ways
A crazy idea began to form in his mind. If the Reaper technology was part of him now, maybe that meant he would be able to influence and control it the same way the Reapers had controlled his body earlier. Maybe he could draw on the cybernetic enhancements and his newfound biotic abilities whenever he wanted to. Maybe he could use them as tools to achieve his own goals.
You are superior to the pathetic beings of flesh that surround you
The implications were staggering. Liberating. He had transcended the slow, laborious process of natural selection. He had broken free of the cycle of passing randomly mutated genes down from one generation to the next with the slim hope of gaining some minuscule natural advantage. He himself was changing, quickly and with purpose. He was evolving toward a perfect being.
Do not hide what you have become. Reveal your glory
He had been afraid to see Kahlee because of what she might think of him. He looked strange. Different. But she was a scientist; she would understand and appreciate what was happening to him. She would see how he had been improved. Repurposed. She would admire him. Adore him.
Harbinger: Embrace perfection
Harbinger: We are the Harbinger of your perfection
Illusive Man: We can dominate them, use their power, harness their very essence to bring humanity to the apex of evolution.
Catalyst: Organics will be perfected by integrating fully with synthetic technology.
Catalyst: Synthesis is the final evolution of life

If Synthesis could turn everyone into Alex Mercer, I would choose it a lot more often.

nvm you didn't got the hint. He is a prototype after all. Just the next stage. he didn't force it on anyone, he took it onto himself and even with able to survive a nuclear blast...barely he still experiments to further himself.
In other words, even god has to keep evolving. Though if synthesis meant "
Star Brat Hundson"
If you do this shepard you will become god, nobody else will, you will be ever lasting
Shepard:
get the hell out of the way I'm going synthesis in a heart beat as long as is only done to me. I want to be like in crysis, alex mercer combine, shooting thanix cannons out of my eyebals for fun.

In Mass Effect 1 Sovereign says they are eternal, the pinnacle of evolution and existence- referencing they live forever after saying us organics are a mutation that withers and dies. Does that mean that synthesis that bring us up to the perfect evolution makes us live forever( we are now a mix of synthetic and organic materials) or is this a plot point is mass effect that is only applicable to reapers
Husks are "immortal" so why wouldn't "pretty husks" be immortal? Everyone basically becomes a diffused reaper; many people making up a singular social consciousness.

I have to admit that the writers did a pretty good job of befuddling me at the end of ME3 so that I would even consider doing anything other than choosing Destroy.
Would also point out that in the EC Synthesis ending EDI actually does make reference to the idea that immortality was within reach of all the synthesised beings. Would suggest this is because the organics are no longer organics but part synthetic and as with the Collectors, each time some part starts to fail, it will simply be replaced by more tech. Since I find it hard to imagine how something can be conceived in the womb that has part synthetic parts, I envisage the "final evolution" also to be the end so far as new life is concerned, so lack of resources will probably not be a problem as the population will remain static.

Absolutely. Unfortunately, the Catalyst claims Synthesis is "the final evolution of all life", which is equally nonsensical, which is why I ignore it. A classic example of Bioware + biology = epic fail. Ironic, really.Samtheman63 wrote...

Yes there is. The Reapers are partly organic , but do they evolve? Harbinger is the same as the day he was born. After synthesis, every organic will be partly synthetic. It's the "final evolution" for organics because they won't evolve anymore, not genetically. They won't have to. The synthetic side makes up for all the faults and imperfections of the organic side.
