I love all the witty remarks and conversations the game has to offer. At one point, I'm flirting with Morrigan and after the fact, Alstair brings up what were were doing.
Some of the lines you can choose in conversations between characters/NPC's is hilarous, for example this one.

Reading the text alone from this screenshot doesn't do it justice. what made it funny was Alistairs voice tone then you read the options and can't help but bust out laughing.

This game is epic in so many ways...!

You should meet Oghren. He is the funniest companion I have ever come across in an RPG. He actually makes me laugh out loud.

Day 42: I begin to think we are being manipulated, as if by some unseen hand far above us. Always, I hear the sound of clicking. Click-click. Click-click.

That diary was the first thing my dog found! Reminds me of way back in Secret of Evermore when someone claims everybody is just a character in a video game, and you(the player, not protagonist) can smite him for calling you out if you wanted.

Sten is also the source of some classic moments, like when trying to get across the lake to the Circle Tower.

My favourite is when Alistair asks Sten what he did while in the cage.

"On good days, I'd pose riddles to passers by and reward them with trinkets."

"Really?"

"No."

Oghren and Wynne is a good combination, as is Leliana and Morrigan. Morrigan and Alistair are like an old married couple, which can be fun.

I love Leliana's long conversations with Charon (my dog). My favorite is when she talks about her family's little ankle biter, Bon-Bon...

I brought Sten with me to the Circle Tower but he said nothing. I think he doesn't like me.

Whoever wrote the party banter did an ace job, and Shale's bit with the chicken was up their with a Tim Schafer game.

Mary and Sheryl and I wrote the bulk of the banter -- really we wrote a bit of everyone's so nobody wrote one particular character's banter in its entirety. We spent a lot of time giggling, however. My personal favorite is still the Zevran/Wynne combo. :)

I've barely dented the game and there have been a ton of funny or awesome moments. I love it. XD

Dog + Morrigan in camp... "No lady wants to find a half-eaten, putrid hare in her unmentionables". One of the responses "Can't be stinkier than what normally goes in there."

seriously laughed for a solid minute.

I have to agree, great job with the banter. I think this is one thing that makes games different in terms of medium--it's harder to digress like this in novels, for example, but you gain a lot in terms of characterization and atmosphere using side-banter in a game. It's a technique I've enjoyed in other Bioware games and I'm psyched you've expanded it here.

One of the rare times I've had Sten in my party - and his interaction with the guard who refuses you entry to the Tower had me chuckling for a long time afterwards. I would replay that conversation just to see the guard's reaction to Sten's 'bribe'.

A wonderful moment in a game full of fantastic one liners and witty quips. Kudos to the writers for coming up with such gems! Image IPB

The banter is probably my favorite portion of the game, alongside the dire drama.

"You see, sir knight? We might die, but we'll be warned about it first."

The banter is so well done. There are times I've wanted to use characters in the party just to hear the banter, not because of what combat role they'd play.

Excellent work you guy's!!!  I didn't think anyone one could give 'Go for the eyes boo, go for the eyes!' a run for it's money, but you guys certainly have done so - on repeatedly.  Kudo's.

oh, and David - your first book was awesome!  and I didn't know that you had a second one out, until yesterday when I was checking out the strat guide on Amazon... when I Saw it - I instantly clicked on buy, I'll have it here tomorrow heh!  The only problem is going to be finding time that I can stop playing the game... long enough to read the book!

I guess It will have to be read durring Bio Breaks or something....

zWolf -out.

Anyone here remember Jagged Alliance 2? That's another golden game for NPC banter, but so far, DA:O takes the cake.

Anyone get the Leliana wanting to go dress shopping with Morrigan conversation? The whole time Leliana talks about how the dress should be really low cut. In turn Morrigan replies, "Stop staring at my breasts".
