Hey guys, I just bought this game on steam and am waiting for it to download so I thought I'd drop by the forums and say hi!
Have a couple of questions first:
1) is there any way to get the forum to display more like a traditional forum (i.e. without a massive picture for each post) just so I can see more than 5 posts without having to scroll down the page.
2) I don't really want any spoilers but is there anywhere I can get a basic overview of the game mechanics so I can make an informed decision about how to build my character. Things like how many skill points/attribute points/feats/spells etc you get at level up and whether you can purchase or find additional ones, also how attribute points affect the game (e.g. does dex affect armor, which stat affects my mana pool etc)... perhaps some of this will become apparent as soon as I load up the game.
Anyway look forward to playing it and hope it's as good as everyone says!
Just bought the game - new to the forums

If I need help I mostly go to the wiki site (dragonage.wikia.com) or Gamefaqs.

Thanks! Is there anywhere to read the manual online? I was kinda hoping for something to read while the game is downloading.
edit: thanks for the wiki link, that was exactly the kind of thing I was after!

More infrmative than the manual is the still incomplete Missing Manual. Sure it isn't done, but it still tells you way more than the little leaflet that came with the game.
Here is a link to the actual manual in PDF format (I have not tested it)

GFAQs is the internets ****, you'd have better luck trying to play the game while your fingers are inside a chinese finger trap laced with superglue.

Unfortunately the Steam version doesn't come with a (PDF) manual.

Wel, you are new and didn't start your first post with a rant, AND you actually registerted your game, AND you can type in coherent sentences. Crazy man. Just crazy.
