I remember being confused that my list of d-pad consumables showed two 2s next to each one. I didn't get that one number was for the total inventory and the other was for how many times per game I could use it.

Speaking of the d-pad, I also remember being worried that hitting "up" on my d-pad would instantly fire and waste a precious missile.

When looking at someone's equipment in the lobby:  "Guns go up to TEN?!?"

I sweated over my first multiplayer character's name for a while because I wanted something really cool that would impress my teammates.

I've only been playing for a couple of months so these memories are pretty fresh.

Not knowing how to access the abilities after the sp version.

Getting dropped into my first ever game and climbing down the map on reactor to start being shot by three geth troopers, panicking and climbing ack up the ladder only to further lengthen the time I could get shot to pieces!

The very first one I had involving Mass Effect 3 is the first noob moment I remember.

I read Nova's description and immediately thought "Well, that sounds like a terrible ability. I'm going to spec into Shockwave instead." and spec into Shockwave I did.

In my defence though, the game neglected to tell me about the 1.5 seconds of immunity frames which is kind of a big deal for the ability.

Oh my gosh, I relate to all of these.

Thought of another one:  It took me a few games to really shake the habit of hitting one of the bumper buttons to pause the game while I selected a power.

Male Human Sentinel on Giant. Might've been against Reapers.

Dagger against Cerberus. I think this was my first match. I still get warm and fuzzy over Dagger when Cerberus is there.

I spec'ed my Infiltrator to have all melee damage bonuses in both TC and class Passive, thinking said Infiltrator will be a badass ninja.

Yeah, that turned out horribly.

Using lash on armored enemies.

Sniper rifles on my Phoenix adept.

Un-nerfed Krysae as an attempted to top scoreboards.

Not knowing what biotic/tech explosions were.

Spamming powers like shockwave/smash.

Not using consumables.

Thinking the Slayer/Destroyer were bad classes, and the Shadow a good one.

Not knowing the Praetorian's sync-kill pattern. Oh wait, it DOESN'T have a pattern.

I could go on about the real noob-stuff though.

My best memory:
Geth Gold.  Level 1 Mantis.
I have a low level character.  These were the times when you could join a gold game by asking for "bronze".  issch.

I tried my best, but I was shooting at geth primes and barely making a dent in their shields.

Everyone was down, I was alone, we had to kill a geth prime for the last objective.  And this guy over the mike screaming "use your rockets!  damnit use your rocket".  And the disapointmen when I failed to use my rockets... rockets I didn't have as it was in my very first games...

Still, good memories :)
