I remembered another one: I was soooo confused about the Possessed Abomination explosions. At first I thought it was some amazing player ability. Then for a while I thought that anything possessed could explode like that. I thought it was the most unfair, overpowered enemy ability there could possibly be.
What are your earliest noob memories?

missiling a lone atlas
being scared of a single phantom
actually, if I'm on host with a bad anti-phantom setup that 2nd one still applies lol

I didn't know there was a weight system, nor did I know there was one in single player. I guess I just completely overlooked it, or when I saw it, didn't think much of it. I played like this for a loong time. I remember giving my Drell Adept a Widow and Claymore, then quitting him because I thought his cooldowns were too long and the class was UP.
Also, buying equipment packs and being upset I wasn't getting my Vorcha Engie

I remember that Asari Adept was amazing to have on the team. BE's and stasis helped so much since there wasn't as much firepower from weapons. It was also tricky to kill guardians, I feel stupid for having shot at their shields, and I learned to snipe through the slot. Then I cringed at others shooting the shields without AP, making the shield bounce and impossible to mailslot. A drell was useful for pulling the shield away.
Also, Avenger, Shuriken, Katana and Predator... crappy guns.

Thinking I was so clever I equipped only 1 weapon and got a lower cooldown, and thinking that the geth smg was awesome and seeing somebody have at at level 10 made me jealous.

Being overjoyed when I bought my first pack, and got the geth riffle. It would of course go directly on my human adept, as I thought my fully levelled singularity would be super good for that awesome weapon.
Then I learned that the weapon sucked.

During the demo, I remember when I thought bronze was hard as hell and Gold was the impossible challenge D:!. And seeing sp3ct3r finishing a solo was amazing

My first time in Noveria on gold against Geth before I knew what farming was. I felt like a pro because there were only 3 of us

Being scared to use equipment because I thought it would never come back after I used it.
I used to think that gear wasn't permanent so I never even equipped that
When a friend came over to my house and played ME3 and used all of my 5 medigel and then I got pissed at him
Being jelly of my IRL friend's Mattock I (different friend)
Failing a silver game.
FBW/G/G
When Cerberus was the easiest Faction and Reapers were the hardest and Geth were balanced
I joined a Gold game because I needed experience for the operation alloy promoting challenge and I was a level 19 Destroyer with a Phaeston I. I was shooting atlases and it wasn't doing anything because no piercing mod/AP ammo
Playing silver for months trying to get a Kroguard to play gold with, because i was scared to try gold with anything else but RNG Trolled me for months
Being a naive noobson

- Accidentally hitting up on the D pad and wondering A) where did my gun go?
how did I get a missile launcher? C) how do I make my gun come back?
- Standing in a ravager blood puddle and wondering what I was getting hit by
- Thinking how neat it will be when I unlock the "skin" color for my asari. Surely I'll be able to recreate all the interesting combos I saw in SP!
- Being truly disheartened when someone yelled at me for overloading the warp "primed" enemies. ... I thought I was helping.
- Wondering if I had gone insane the first time I heard a drell reave back in the day
- Using a missile on a single phantom. Always.

Speccing out of Warp because the "damage sucks."
Also using Responder Loadout thinking it'll give me 2+ Ops even though I didn't have any.

I remember my first barely finished silver match (Operation Mastiff) and this convincing myself that I won't be never able to complete gold difficulty.

First match ever was Human Sentinel and landed on White/Cerberus/Silver (gee, thanks, default Unknown/Unknown/Any setting... Bronze would've been nice). Had no idea how to activate Tech Armor without being able to bring up my power wheel. Whole team wiped miserably on Wave 3.
I won't ever admit how long it took me to realize what the D-pad did. I kept wondering how people were launching missiles.

Using the Avenger exclusively because I was used to it, despite having massively better guns. Those were the days!
