^ So if the DA3 protagnist was only playable as an Elf would you take issue?

You and I both know that's never going to happen.

That said: Yes. I like playing dwarves too. I also know a few people who love playing dwarves as much as I love playing elves, so I would empathize with them not being able to play a race they love when others are available. I also empathize with people who desperately want the chance to play a kossith and haven't gotten the chance to do so. Also, if I was honest, I wouldn't enjoy being forced to play one race either. Even if it was a race I actually liked, I would still like the option to try different races and would rest easy knowing other people have the option they love. (Yes, I'll admit this includes humans, though my sympathy is much more limited because they already have a whole game to themselves.)

Ok then that sweetens my opinion of you a bit and I guess I'm sorry, though I still do hate it when people on here use an actual issue the games as a platform because they want their personal fantasy fullfilled (that entire religion thread)

You seem to hate something you're grossly misinformed about. Some players addressed that they wanted the return of the atheist option because they specifically dislike playing as a religious Andrastian. I understand that it may not be an issue for pro-Chantry or pro-templar players to play as religiously Andrastian characters, but it is for those of us who don't like the Chantry. I get the feeling that the same people are trying to pretend as though it's an issue of hating religion, when it's simply that some people hate the Chantry specifically because of the horrible, monstrous things it has done in the past (and continues to do in present day Thedas).

Some people don't like the Chantry of Andraste for a number of reasons - Emperor Drakon invading other nations and forcing people to convert to his personal Cult of Andraste, the Dalish account of their invasion of the Dales to both subjugate the elves and forcibly convert them, and the enslavement of mages in Chantry controlled Circles. These are a few reasons why I, personally, dislike the Chantry of Andraste. As I'd said over and over again, hating the Chantry doesn't mean you dislike all religion.

The Qunari are a religion, not a race.

The (typically) horned people who make up the bulk of the Qun are the Kossith.

But yeah. If choosing race is even an option again in the future, hopefully it is possible to be a Kossith and potentially a part of the Qun.

Actually, there was a big hubbub on the forums awhile ago about the use of the word Kossith.  According to David, the horned race can correctly be referred to as Qunari.

Gaider's argument didn't really make any sense though. He was basically saying that we shouldn't call them Kossith on the forums because in the games no one calls them Kossith.

Yo.

Regardless, this thread has simply devolved into the same one that it ALWAYS does when the Inquisitor's race gets brought up. No new ground to cover here.

It'd be interesting to play as a kossith/Qunari one day. Nonetheless, I'll be happy to see them involved in Inquisition, even if they took the opportunity to invade near the end to set up the next game.
