This message always came up when I started Dragon Age II, but it's simply to download add-ons and patches for the gamet. It shouldn't be prohibiting your ability to play Dragon Age II.

The point of logging in is to download online content, not play the game - there were some items that were unlocked from the Facebook Dragon Age game and there are some items that you can download if you wish. It's not necessary to log in if you're simply looking to play the game.

Then you need online access to get unlock certain items (that are already in the game, but which the developers had prohibited the player from accessing unless certain things were done - like playing the Dragon Age Online game) or downloading DLC content. It won't prohibit you from playing the vanilla (regular) game, however.

This was a problem I encountered when I originally purchased Origins, because I didn't have online access, so I couldn't download the Stone Prisoner or any of the DLC that came out until over a year later, when I managed to get access to an internet connection.

I'm informing you that the message that came up always comes up if you don't have access to the internet (which is what you seemed to be addressing in your OP). This seemed to be what concerned you in your original post. You need an internet connection if you're looking to download certain items or DLC content for the game. If you already have an internet connection but you can't connect to the internet, you might want to consult someone with technical experience who might be able to assist you (there are Technical Self Help sections in the Dragon Age II section for PC, X-Box, and PS3 if that's what you're looking for).
