Well, from my humble opinion, I don't think the hack glitch and the run with the pizza are the same thing.

When you run with the pizza you are not exploiting a glitch, it's a game mechanic( since the beggining it should have allow us to run ) besides, you still carry the pizza.

When you hack outside the hack you are not doing the objective, you are exploiting a glitch and the objective is doing itself, that would be like make the pizza carry itself or get the drone complete the objective alone or even 1234 disables.

Of course, this is just my opinion.

Running with Pizza is also a glitch that allows you to complete objective on Rio in 30 seconds instead of 3-4 minutes.

It's not a glitch as such, it's just an unintended side effect of the way bioware created the whole "use / interact key thing"

This.

Is not the same as missile glitching ( both versions ), Atlas-Shadow Strike, 6/6/6/6/6 builds, Destroyer devastator mode activated and be able to dodge, invisible Slayer/Cabal, the hack glitch, etc etc etc etc etc etc.

What amazes me is how people discover these things, and since they didn't do this when the game came out, I'm sure finding these took a lot of time. Invisible Slayer/Cabal? Dodging Destroyer? I never even knew this existed, but it explains some of what I've seen when I came back to the game. I just thought the servers were glitchy (they are). RedJohn -- me abriste los ojos! jajajaja Es muy interesante y cómico al mismo tiempo lo que hace mucha gente. :)

There are glitches in this game that most of people don't even imagine, and it should stay like that.

Definitely agree with you RedJohn.

I do something similar, but it's quoting Jack Nicholson as the Joker. Confuses people to no end... fun! :wizard:

I don't like the hack glitch. I don't think I need Bioware to tell me when something defeats the purpose of the objective.

I don't care too much about the official record one way or another, so I'll let others decide how one method should stack up against another.

I am reminded ever so slightly of "A Fistful of Quarters," a film I highly recommend. I don't think any of us will likely do anything like what that guy pulls off while answering his son's requests for a diaper change.

Okay, carrying the Pizza is the same as the hack, that's that.

With the pizza, you're meant to WALK with it, that gives enemies time to close in on you, time to block your path, or when you're walking slowly through an open area, time to get shot at and gown.

By using running pizza glitch, not only are you massively speeding up the time it takes, but you are avoiding enemies, avoiding the difficulty of carrying the objective, you're just running from point A to B which is not the idea.

The hack glitch is the same thing. You're meant to wait in one area, have all the enemies close in on you, and defend it with your life. The main difference the hack the area glitch makes is time, because instead of running out of the circle, luring enemies away, then running back to it, you're doing all that while the hacking process still counts.

I don't get how anyone can say avoiding the difficulty and speeding up the pizza runs is any different than avoiding the difficulty and speeding up the hack process.

That's an impressive time for a Platinum solo. It takes me over half an hour with a group to finish a Platinum game.

Anyway, this place has grown increasingly pathetic and hostile as of late. I'm out.

Would you like a gold star from Bioware or something? I think some of
you guys need to look up the definition of the word "scrub", especially
the bit about the person having their own honor code for every game that
they expect people to follow, I bet you think throwing in street
fighter is still cheap

I haven't played Street Fighter consistently since I was five years old. Back when it was amazing.
What's wrong with having an honor code? I'm not saying there's one for every game, but in multiplayer games? Of course there is. You can either play legitly, the way the game wants you to play, or you can glitch, and cheat, and put on god mode and spawn camp and kill everybody.

This whole conversation reminds me of a brilliant movie:

I've never been called a scrub before in all of my years of gaming, so good luck with that. It's not like I actually put any worth into what some random person on the internets thinks about me. If I did, goodness, I truly would be a scrub of which you speak.

Love that movie!

Here's my two cents:

Did he exploit a glitch? Yes
Was the game easier than it would have been otherwise? Yes, probably.
Does it detract from the overall awesomeness of the speedrun? Yes, but not entirely.
Is Xcal still an amazing player who will most likely do another run without the glitch after seeing this backlash? Yes and maybe.

you obviously don't know xcal if you think he cares what people on here or anywhere think of him.  if anything, he would probably redo it to get that same hack 3 times in a row and do the glitch on all 3 three times just to make people butthurt.
