If you had never seen someone run with the pizza, you'd probably be saying the same about that. They're both bugs that allow you to do the objectives faster/with less trouble.

I use hack glitch all the time in silver and gold with vanguard.
Its amurzing.

Eh, I think hacking while not being in the circle is much worse than running with pizza :/

At least with the pizza, you're still sort of carrying the thing with you, but hacking while not being in the circle completely defeats the purpose of that objective.

Then again, Kroguard wouldn't have troubles surviving in the circle anyway.

Well, the "catch" of the hack is that you have to stay in one area of the map with enemies spawning around you for about 70 seconds. The "catch" of the pizza obj is that you have to transport a package but you are unable to move quickly.

Both ways completely defeat the purpose of the objectives.

The only thing I didn't like about the video was that there was no commentary. He's a great, er, commenter when he does his vids and that was a bummer.

Also, this is why I don't use Kroguard on platinum because his melee isn't effective like it is on Gold and nothing is more therapeutic to me than backhanding enemies to death in one or two melee shots. Ah well.

Surprised people complain even though it's not Geth. There were a couple of occasions he almost got sync killed. I hate the reegar, but that won't stop me from appreciating a good solo

It's a glitch. If you leave the hack circle immediately after activating it (works best with characters with fast dodges), then you are still counted as being in it. It's as much of an exploit as package running or warp+incendiary; which is to say that it shouldn't discredit his solo. 

I think it does discredit it.  The whole point of the objective is to do the hack, which is much more challenging on a solo.

If it's supposed to be a legit solo, then there should be no running with the pizza, and no magic auto-completing hack. 

To say that it's an acceptable exploit would be roughly the same as saying a solo done using the missile glitch is legit, or a solo done on Hydra while hiding outside the map the entire time is legit.

If you get a hack on your solo, you have to do the hack.

I see your point, but don't compare a minor glitch to missile glitching or the Hydra exploit. Those are game-breaking exploits and eliminate all challenge of a platinum solo. This glitch just gave xcal some more leg room. He still had to play the game.

The whole point of speed running is to exploit everything the game has to reduce the amount of time it takes to finish the game.

As long as the dude is not editing the ini or using 3rd party programs, fair game.

The point of the hack obj is staying in the circle. It in no way compares to running with the pizza or reload cancelling. Bioware has never come forth and officially condoned the hack glitch like they have the other two.

He also exploited the stair glitch multiple times to avoid being grabbed.

Skill? I disagree. If I wanted to watch videos with multiple glitches being exploited and possible hacks, I would tune into N7Link's videos. This is my opinion though, so feel free to ignore it if you don't like it.
