Considering the minimal impact this would have on in-game experience... I don't see your point.

Given that a hack forces you to stay in a single spot while, especially on Platinum, the hounds of Hell are unleashed upon you, being able to run around the map at will and hide away from them while the objective still completes is a tiny bit more than minimal impact. This is all the more relevant when one is going for the fastest time and now the hack is a mere 50ish seconds when it could have been three or four minutes.

I don't see how this community can sneer so much at one glitch, then hold others up that still make the game easier as completely legitimate.

I view the ones that BW has stated as being acceptable as legitimate. Stair and hack glitching have never been approved by BW and therefore fall into the shady gray area.

OHKing everything in the game is not the same as this. terrible comparison.

A better comparison is the one I gave earlier about running the pizza and this bug, which btw, was passed off as "clever use of game mechanics" by Bioware. Also, the same entity who labeled missile glitching and the 6/6/6/6/6 glitch as cheating and against the rules. So, what decides what is a cheat, ultimately? Bioware. And, unfortunately, they most likely will never speak on this subject.

6/6/6/6/6 build using the missile glitch, all fair game. Which just shows how much we should care about speed running in ME3 MP, Bioware gave us such a glitch/bug fest it matters little.

Bioware has never commented on the hack thing. It's been around for a while. If they cared they would have said something.

stairs are for your safety, so bs game mechanics dont become too treatening but you still can take damage and die.

hack glitching is wtv in team play but as for a speedrun it ruins the legitamacy of said speed run because when your supposed to do an objective...without actually doing the objective.. you never really did complete this platinum solo.

perhaps compare it to having others on the team.. they do the objectives for you but they die at the start of waves 1,2,4,5,7,8,9 and then leave so the soloing player can extract.

now thats a speedrun platinum solo for ya.

Have they banned for the hack the circle glitch? No, they haven't. That defines what is allowed and what isn't.

It's the same as the carry the package glitch, the difference being people on xbox/ps3 can actually do the hack the circle glitch, while they can't with the pizza.

Edit: Oh, and the taking on bosses on ramps to avoid insta kills? You do realize that is done in every solo, right? If you're calling that unfair, then really, you're just complaining too much.

Fun fact, I hate the hack glitch myself as I feel it's WAY too cheesy, but it's as much clever use of gameplay mechanics as running with the pizza, and BW knew about both and never condemned either.

But more importantly, does anyone here REALLY think xcal would've actually had to exit the hack circle for a significant amount of time if doing it properly?

Not to mention, considering there isn't any run from a legit player that's even close to this time, I'm not about to get my knickers in a twist over him shaving a few seconds with that glitch.

tbh, not really lol hes kroguard with reegar yo.

would have stay in there for about 75% of it left for about 10-15 seconds to regroup and then enter again to finish.

Known bug. If you exit the circle immediatly after you activate it, it considers you inside it.

Me and xcal shared videos in the past so I know he's cool but looking at how fast he takes out enemies in this video just makes me wonder. I cant copy that kill speed even after charge weapon synergy with incendiary IV.

Do you know Feneckus' channel? look up his warp+incendiary video. I've long thought that the Reegar acted differently on PC than it does on console.
