Why do some of my tactics and behaviors come up red?

I asked the same thing when I started playing. Means it's an offensive thingie, I believe. But red doesn't mean it doesn't work. Morrigan won't get red for healing if she can't heal, she'll simply won't have the option pick it at the tactics screen. 

Easy mistake to make though, we usually read 'red' as 'error/stop' or something akin to that.
