Good? Evil?

I'm just selfish.

I prefer to think of it from the Doctor's perspective....

Doctor Who - A Good Man Goes to War (2011)

Madame Kovarian: The anger of a good man is not a problem. Good men have too many rules.
The Doctor: Good men don't need rules. Today is not the day to find out why I have so many. Hmm?

I have too many rules to be good.

I think I'm a fair person. I have my own rules I live by that other might not agree with. I am brutally honest most of the time which leads others to dislike me because I don't act within the social convention of being polite and fibbing to keep the peace. I tend to think that makes me a better person in some ways, its way a lot of people come to me for advice, and I always do what I can to help. It frustrates me to no end when a person lies to me though, its fine if they don't want to tell me about something, but there is no reason to make up something, just say you don't want to talk about. I guess I'm more of an acquired taste as a person.

I have the same problem, I state the truth whether it is good or bad. I don't have time for peoples games and bull****, I offend people often because of this. Most people who get to know me though say they appreciate that quality because they know there not being bull****ted around when they are asking about or discussing something. A lot of people don't like to hear the truth.

Come to Germany. There's a whole nation with that exact culture. You ask something, you get an honest answer. You don't like the answer, shouldn't have asked for it, period.

I'd like to think I'm in the grey and can easily move into the white as well as the black if I deem it necessary and/or beneficial to my family and if I'm feeling selfish, for myself.

I'm not sure it's easy to evaluate one's self on such a level. This kind of thing largely depends on how others perceive you.

But regardless, I like to think I'm a decent guy. I've never willfully caused harm to anyone and I generally treat everyone as a friend, whether or not I know them.

Nope, I've seen and done some ****. I'm not an inherent bad person but I've done things which would make the average person scream for my blood.

I don't believe there is an inherent good and bad in this world, we all have our own morals and the animals don't care, it's all chemicals in your brain, nothing more in my opinion, do what makes you happy as long as it doesn't inflict upon another.

I get people telling me I am.

I don't know if I'm just in denial, if I have higher standards, or just plain know more about myself; but I outright disagree.
So if you are of the belief that only others can truly judge and not one's self, than I am good. If you think I get to have the final say then I'd say I'm no good.

I don't think I was, so I tried to be better. Whether or not I am now is up to everyone else. I don't like calling myself a good person, 'cause then I feel like I'm not, or that I'm only doing it for the sake of making people like me. Since I just want to feel like I'm being good for the sake of being good, I don't let myself believe that I am.

My psyche is a complicated mistress.

Isn't that technically drawing a line at what's good and what isn't?

Half the time, at least. I do have my douchey moments, but rarely am I being so on purpose. I aim to be a good person.

That's kind of how I am.

Others tell me that I'm good, but I don't really consider myself as such nor do I consider myself bad.

To some I am a self righteous knight templar. To others I am a complete degenerate. But to me, I am Seraph Cross. I have my own code and am free from bias and the herd. I'm above petty squabbles of basic good and bad.
