Am I at peace? I was never particularly at war.

Am I satisfied? Sure... then again, I didn't have particularly high standards for the game to begin with. It's a good game with a poorly done ending. That wouldn't be the first time I've experienced that. It won't be the last either.

As for future games?  Not likely, but that has more to do with EA's business practices than any particular distaste towards Bioware's work.

Becoming so invested in something like a video game that you're still upset about the ending is weird to me. People should be way over it by this point. There's too many good games out there you can be playing to really be caring about this.

Satisfied? Not really.

At peace? Yes. I got over it a long time ago.

No

And Bioware's going to have to convince me to trust them again.

Sure. Do you know how much other media I've consumed and either enjoyed or disliked more than ME3 over the past year?

I was never not 'at peace' with it. Satisfied? Eh. I am with the MP but not with the singleplayer.

Mostly satisfied, except for the ending. That means I wont purchase any games from them. Only thing I wana buy is leviathan and from ashes, when the go for 50% off again. Thats pretty much it.

You won't purchase any future titles because of the one ending?

I don't play a lot of vid games anymore.  Over the last year and a half I've played DEHR, Battlefield 3, and ME3.  BF3 was OK for an FPS but pathetically short.  No replay there.  That left me with DEHR and ME3.  Sadly I couldn't play ME3 to conclusion (ended play at thanix missile on Earth refusing to finish).  I put it aside and went back to DEHR and played the hell out of it.  A couple months ago my sister tells me about MEHEM so I take a look and now, I can play ME3 to the end AND replay ME1, 2 as well for a triple run-through.  So, given that I only had ME games and DEHR to play, yeah, it matters about the ending of ME3 that spoiled it for me.  I can only replay DEHR so many times.

Now I can totally ignore the official ending and go with a much better and logical ending and get some value back on the cost of buying the damn game in the first place.  I was a sucker who coughed up for a pre-order.  I'll never fall or the pre-order trick again.  From ANY company. Now thanks to modders here, I'm interested again and giving ago to HR textures and modding.

No other games out there are currently of any interest to me so, again, yeah the ending mattered.

To me, D&D knockoffs are not good games to play.  Mortal Kombat-style sillyfests are not good games. MP grind and cheat-fests are not good games. So, no, there AREN'T a lot of good games out there to play.  They mostly suck.

Some people like Donkey Kong.  No thanks.  I question the sanity of such people.  Some people like Angry Birds.  I question their minds.  Yes, I have standards.  Simplistic sword and sorcery games (repetitious as all f*ck), simpleton arena combat/fighting games, mindless shootfests...no standards, just simple taste.

Ding, ding.

Might as well say that people who like Tetris and Angry Birds don't have standards either.

Try Alpha Protocol.  A spy rpg.  Gameplay's a little wonky but that's an RPG that takes your decisions seriously.  I've played it a half dozen times and still find new things hidden in it.  And the ending is based off the choices you made.  Not taken away and dictated to you by some ghost child.

The way I view it, sure, the game can depress you, but there are so many (and I emphasize that part) great games that have been released since and even before, that can can give you that same type of feels that the Mass Effect series did, at least I hope so. I've seen people state that they can't even play games that much anymore because of this series and that disappoints me greatly because they won't be able to experience a lot well done titles, since ME3.

Unlike some individuals I dont believe the destination or the journey are the most important pieces. For me is both in equal measure.  Both crappy endings and  happily ever after endings are a deal breaker for me.

That's fine, but I'm asking why cut off Bioware because of one title, what if a future title peaks your interest? For me, it was SWTOR, ME3 and not really DA II, but I saw the direction they were headed.

Is it the "will they deliever" on this and stay honest with their consumers that bugs you?
