No. She tries too hard and the way she speaks annoys me.

True. Ali Hillis is a terrble voice-actress. BioWare should have chosen someone else to voice Liara. ANYONE else than Ali Hillis would have been a better choice.

I disagree....  I say Ali Hillis captured Liara. the soft voice is totally liara!

Oh good. I hadn't experienced that "ew, what have I stepped in" feeling since the cat left her kill on the doorstep for us to admire. Narcissistic little whiskered lunatic.

I honestly don't know what everyone's problem with this thread is. It's not like everything else in the ME universe hasn't been analyzed to death on here, and I don't mean that in a bad way. So why not the romances in the games and what we like about them?

I guess I just feel different from other people. Talking about these things doesn't make me uncomfortable, and I respect people that feel differently, I just wish that they would give me the same respect and open-mindedness.

Romances get talked about plenty without any problems, but the OP of the thread is just talking about pixel legs and arousal. Can't speak for others, but I'm perfectly willing to discuss what makes romances appealing, and not so interested in what makes other gamers get wood. Nahmean.

But if you're that worried about the reaction, let me assure you I have seen far far worse on these forums and this is a pretty mild case of TMI as TMI goes. It's not that bad.

Well I mean, I'm not trying to discuss what makes gamers get wood but yeah, what's appealing about romances. Btw I am the op lol. And I wouldn't say that either pixel legs or guns give me that excited, just interested. Not necessarily woody or stuff.

My respect for Liara just went DOWN tenfold.

Not that I was unaware of Hillis voicing Lightning. She sucked as Lightning too. She used the same terrible voice for her as she did for Liara.

That terrible voice is the ONLY voice Hillis can use though. ALL the characters Ali Hillis voiced sound EXACTLY THE SAME. Seriously, she has no talent whatsoever.

I say Ali Hilis is a great voice actor and the best and alot of reviews agree to that! and her portrayal  of liara is awesome! :D

Hmm. Well I don't consider being turned on as having that. But I'll reprhase to make it clear.

Well, the delivery of a lot of her ME1 lines are pretty bad, but I still wouldn't swap her out for anyone else. She is the character, as far as I'm concerned, warts and all.

O really? I've yet to see a single review saying that.

Also, you should play FF13 in the orignal Japanese language. Then you'll realize how flat and aweful Ali Hillis sounds in comparison to Lightning's original Japanese voice-actress.

But if you didn't understand Japanese it would all sound like gibberish no matter how well acted it was.

OP refers to original post in this usage, not original poster.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. sex reapers on fire off the shoulder of Orion, I've watched "love" beams glitter in the dark near the Tanhauser gate...

I've never been big on Liara, but that brief bit in Citadel where she busts out the Southern Belle accent made me curiously aroused.

I just figured out how to defeat the Reapers for real.

We give them an internet connection.

They will see that there is nothing they can do to us that we aren't already doing to ourselves.

Their minds will shatter like glass.
