Missed her muchly in ME2, but when Liara popping out of the airshaft and popped the two Cerberus troopers in the beginning of the Mars mission, all I could think of was...

"Aaaaannnnddd, she's back."

It always amuses me how quickly a thread naming Liara devolves into how much people hate her/her voice actress or want to see the character dead.

O really? I've yet to see a single review saying that.

Also, you should play FF13 in the orignal Japanese language. Then you'll realize how flat and aweful Ali Hillis sounds in comparison to Lightning's original Japanese voice-actress.

That's what subtitles are for friend. I mean I understand Japanese, but not enough so I can play their games without English subtitles. Same with anime, I can watch it without English subs, but I prefer to watch it with English subs for extra clarity.

Still, even though I don't understand everything they say in Japanese, I still can clearly hear a leap of difference in the Japanese voice-acting quality in comparison to the English dubs.

I don't care about Lightning or Final Fantasy characters in general, I never found any of their characters actually strong. Ali Hillis did a good job for Liara and that's all I care about.

I agree, I think Hills is great for Liara, all of the characters have moments of cringe worthyness, hell there are plenty of moments I cringe with femshep and I would never dream of asking for anyone other than hale to voice her. Characterwise there aren't really any characters I hate, Kai Leng and Glowboy are the only ones that come close.

Me neither.  Her "I want to study you in a lab" joke misunderstanding was kind of silly.  I wouldn't say angry Liara from ME2/LotSB is "hot", but she's a lot more interesting and less boring.

Final Fantasy characters just seem to be an odd misconceived notion of the ideal Westerner, mashed with traditional Japanese values.
