In all seriousness, I'm not a big Liara fan (mainly because bioware shoves her down your throat.) , I guess I like humans/turians more.

you don't like Liara?

Nope, I liked her in ME1 though.

My reasons are

1. Bioware shoving her down your throat.

2. Her fans flaming someone because they like someone different or don't like Liara at all.

LOL, you got me good.Posted Image

fair point about being shoved down your throat though. I expected liara to be the person shepard confides in rather than garrus (genophage cure etc.)

Would've been nice if shep confided in his/her LI with garrus being default if no LI.. but that's just me.

Wouldn't have worked for me since I romanced ME2 characters or Garrus.  So Garrus is the only option for me really.

oh yeah.
i forgot that the only romances who return to the normandy are liara, tali and VS, with liara being the only one there early enough to confide in.
sorry about that.

still, would have been nice to confide in liara if you romanced her (but that's me)

I guess, still don't know why they didn't add ME2 squadmates into the squad in ME3. (Even after their story to do Cronos Stationw with them.)

On the topic of the squad roster, I think something of a rotational squad would be amazing.

(For example Wrex being able to join you for the Tuchanka arc and Legion for the Rannoch ones, maybe a choice to let Tali be with you till the end or to help with the Migrant fleet with her being an admiral and all)

Involves Liara, so no. I really liked her until ME3. In ME3 I want to eradicate every proof that she ever existed.

Yeah, she was dead on in ME1 and ME2 because you got small doses, in ME3, you're getting a double overdose.

In ME1 we've got this nice shy Asari scientist, not understanding human behavior at all. I really liked that story with her mother being indoctrinated.

In ME2 she had to persist in the cruel world of information business. I really noted that she had grown up by that point. With the Shadow Broker, she got a redesign I liked and also became KICKASS.

And then in ME3 we get this semi-lizard thing that suddenly has aquired asian eyes (compared to SB) and bigger breasts, stalks Shep the whole time and wastes the Shadow broker assets. Hey, Liara, any notes on the Genophage? Nope. Cerberus planning a coup on the citadel? Hm, I guess not. Quarian war against the Geth? Nyet. Asari high command hiding the prothean VI?

I know those things are on high classification levels, but hell, she basically is omniscient with the data EXCEPT for those four thingies.

Also, Palaven? LOL, dead Turians. Earth? Give 'em hell down there, Anderson. Thessia? Entire crew is sad, Joker's being treated as if he would have made a holocaust joke. Sad Liara is sad. And that bad Prothean putting up his deal with it face is a complete arse.

fair points, she does seem rather useless considering the fact that she's the shadow broker.
I agree it was very annoying how liara and thessia were treated afterwards (along with shep blaming him/herself) when the same was happening to everyone else.

....Whoa. I am actually so used used to the Liara fanboys in the German boards that I actually couldn't believe somebody with a Liara avatar agreed with me.  Usually I earn pure hate for such statements there. Thanks for proving not everyone is like that.

Also, that scene where Shepard accuses T'suza or however she's called of trash talking in the citadel DLC proves he is a complete hypocrite.

but yeah, despite my love for Liara i think there should have been a renegade option where shep shouted at liara, blaming her and the asari for what had happened, when she was all "you did everything you did" (whilst clearly blaming shepard)

it was also annoying that everyone else gave liara and the asari special treatment despite garrus and every human on the ship being in the same situation.
and as far as "perhaps the alliance can provide air support next time" well... *cringe*

Eh There's a lot here I can't really get on board with.

1. I like that they made Liara's skin more alien it adds to the exoticness of the species
2. I don't know where your getting "asian eyes" from, through all the playthroughs I have never once thought "hey look, asian eyes".
3. If her breasts are bigger I haven't notice as I don't really spend any time starting at them
4. I can't really blame the character for the writers wasting her SB status
5. I've never understood the hatred of Liara for the thessia scene, it's not her fault Asari High Command are a bunch of retards, she expresses how sorry she is to hear about earth numerous times, seems genuinly distressed about palavan, but suddenly her breaking down because she lost her own world after ordering the commandos to stay and help them is selfish? sorry I'm calling BS.
6. And through all the playthroughs where she is not Sheps LI I've never once thought "Stalker" not really sure how people are even coming to that conclusion.

I'm not gonna jump down your throat for having a different opinion as you have every right to that opinion, just going to point out that I disagree.

Ahem... Shepard is blaming himself for falling for the same trick and getting bested by Kai *again*.

As for her being a useless SB consider that she never meant to take over at all, and Liara is not nearly ruthless enough to be an effective SB (the previous guy did not blow up all these civilians for the evulz but because it was necessary to protect his operations).
It's wasted in a meta-sense (no reason to make her the SB if you are going to have Traynor produce all relevant leads ex culo) but is quite consistent lore-wise.

As for Thessia, I suspect that it might have taken a bit longer for the reality of the situation to hit her given that the asari have never really fought any wars but always managed with diplomacy alone - but of course I defer to your experience with having Elder Space Cods annihilate your home.

I like cut scenes of any of the crew kicking some serious butt. I really don't find myself turned on by it though. More like 'wow that was awesome, why can't they do that while I am controlling them." hehe
