Well since they pretty much advertised they were heading to Orlais, and thats where the game is supposedly taking place I'd expect to see them. Considering Bodahn is always catching up on new business opportunities, offering his services to a newly formed inquisition seems right up his alley. I predict they'll take up residence in your new castle as merchants.

Besides they're the C-3P0 and R2-D2 of the series.

Inorite?! I have come to look fondly on the father and son bonding moments.

Additionally, I look forward on seeing the development of Sandal's character and how he plays a part into everything, whether it be big or small.

I'd love to see a Bioware game without crappy romances and dialogue.

I disagree with you on DA2.

But more to the point, if you don't want to romance anyone in the game, than don't romance them.

Shock of all shocks, but the game doesn't force you to romance anyone, that's the players choice, and limiting the players choices in how they interact with their characters is a recipie for disaster.

I'm going to try anyway: dispense with the  worthless stupid empty romances! They just attract weirdos.

I suspect DA3 will deal with the death of Bodahn at some point. He all but said outright in DA2 that he didn't have much time left.

I look forward to a tearful scene wherein Sandal hugs Bodahn's corpse and begs him to wake up.

How do you know that?

I completely understand people asking for less to no romance, given the right arguments ("understanding" not meaning "agreeing"), but how do you know the people who like romance are weirdos? Why they like it, what they like in it, and what they make of it?

Regardless, why do you care? How are "weirdos" you'll never meet - indulging in an optional aspect of the game - having any effect on your gaming?

And how is romance related in any way to Bodahn and Sandal? (rhetorical. Please, anyone, don't answer).

Does that make me a bad person if that prospect makes me smile (a little).

Where ever Bodahn and Sandal go is where the next game is going to take place. Haven't you learned that yet?

Except it slaps you in the face with is cheesy ass romance dialogue, it really makes me think the all the writers at Bioware have ever read are those bargain bin romance novels and twilight.

This - I'm fond of the characters, and the C-3P0/R2-D2 analogy is apt. Fie on the OP's request!

If they are there I would like them somehow INVOLVED in the story past Sandal randomly showing up surrounded by Darkspawn (Origins) or having them be part of the Deep Roads Expedition.

Considering Bodahn was saying he was getting older and heading to Orlais since someone there took an interest in Sandal's ability hopefully this is the case.

I disagree I like Bodhan and Sandal and look foward to see how they are going to show up in the next game and I hope they are in the castle. If you don't like them don't spend time interacting with them. At most the required length of time you had to interact with them was 10 minutes tops in DA2 and less in Origins, if you didn't buy anything from Bodhan or get enchantment from Sandal. I don't see how them showing up in DA3 is a problem. Also with the romances if you don't like them- don't start one they are optional. In playthroughs sometimes I romance, sometimes I don't depending on the character I want to create but I appreciate having the option. If you don't like them don't start one and accept the fact that other people want to play the game differently from you.

I likED Bodahn and Sandal in DA:O, yet the novelty wasn't there in DA2. Including them in DA:I would be overkill and just regurgitation. Hence I concur with the OP. I'd like to see a new concept introduced for the camp seller of wares. New material interests me; repeating old material begins to wear out after a while.

Some people like chesse. I know that I love it. I would less inclined to play a BioWare game that didn't have a romance, because it makes the stakes personal for my heroes (The Warden, Hawke, Shepard, The Spriit Monk, and Revan). Saving the world, galaxy, or universe means nothing if my heroes have no one to come home too.

IMHO all romances has some cheesy ass dialoge if it doesn't then the writers have failed.

How about a compromise?  Bodahn with a new business partner?

So what? Just shot them down and get it done, it takes all of 10 seconds or less.

What you are suggesting though is that people should not be allowed to play their characters how they want to. You have the option of not engaging in a romance, that's a right you already have, but now you want to take that a step further and remove other players rights to engage in a romance if they choose to.

It's just as ridiculous and invasive as saying that because you don't like to play your character as a paragon type character, that all paragon options should be removed from the game.

I liked Bodahn, and Sandal in Origins. I think it was a bit forced having them in DA2, and personally to me it only hurt their character. I don't remember there being a real reason why they just happened to relocate in Kirkwall. This kind of stuff annoys me to no end. If reoccurring characters have a reason for coming back into the series, then I'm all for it. I'd much rather have the character sit the game out though, if they don't have a legit reason for being there.

I want to see Bodahn and Sandal in DA3. Just wouldn't be the same without them. In any event they were off to Orlais anyway.

No, what I'm sure I am suggesting is that I'd prefer more effort put into writing a good strong narrative than writing something that is about a wrung above a Stephenie Meyer Novel.
