I can help you out with this: he sounded different from both DA2 and DAO.  A third voice, if you will.

I agree. I'd rather meet new people each game if each game is in different regions. I mean in Kirkwall I think having a native butler/assistant/whatever Bodahn was would of been way cooler than someone we already knew, because (a) they could give additional insight on Kirkwall from a native's perspective (Now that I think of it there were like no native Kirkwall people close to us (other than Gamlen and maybe Sebastian). (B) is a blank slate for more plot opportunities.

It's funny though, the same guy voiced Sandal in DA:O, WH, and DA 2, yet he sounds different each time xD Anyhow, yeah, I'm tired of those two already, Time for new merchants, or at least they should reveal wat the heck is wrong with Sandal xD The dude almost always appear with a mountain of corpses around him xD

Ok so I love Sandel as much as the next guy.  But to have him as a main stay in your "camp" in yet another game will be pushing it.  Not to mention it just feels like you are kicking a dead horse by the end of DA2.  I think the whole simpleton that knows more then it seems would work much better is small amounts.  Just my two cents for the day.

I doubt he'll be playing as big a role in this one. For two reasons.
1) The same reason I don't think we'll see companions returning as companions for new player characters (with the exception of DLC companions as the relationship isn't as well developed). Having them form strong attachments with EVERY playable character would just lessen said relationships. Talk with Bodhan about his concern over Sandal when he's gone was a beautiful moment. If he has that chat with everyone, it'll just feel hollow.
2) Sandal is working as the royal Enchanter so he won't be hanging around you, but the Empress. You may even have to cut them down if you side against her. Who knows?

Not including them though wouldn't work though. Bodahn said they'll be in Orlais working for Celene in DA2, so that's where we should find them.

sandal and bodahn are nothing but obnoxious and over-played comic relief. At best they could be a transparent attempt at foreshadowing/introducing the dwarf magic angle. Bioware would do well to remove them. They won't though. Like the awful romances they are here to stay.

Sandal should not just come back, but come back as a full blown part member with his own unique fighting style that your character can't have like Shale or the Mabari from Origins. His fighting style should be based around enchantment bombs (like rogue flask skills) and hand-to-hand skills.

Sandal's too powerful, though. He'd have to be nerfed so he can't singlehandedly wipe out two pride demons without breaking a sweat, and I'd rather they didn't nerf him.

It can't be Dragon Age without Bodahn and Sandal. They already hinted Sandal will play a major role in future DA games with all his foreshadowing of future events and stuff.

Still we most likely will be seeing Bodahn at his final years of life in DA3 since it shows that his age is finally getting to him in DA2. What happens to Sandal after that will we will have to wait and see.

Yeah, I don't dislike or hate them, but it does feel a bit gimmicky that these two characters just happen to bump into and subsequently indebt themselves to multiple protagonists. They are cool characters, but I would prefer seeing something like Bodahn in the marketplace of Kirkwall, give these guys their own home, independence, jobs and livelihood. I don't need, nor do I really want them as my personal servants anymore.

I agree that they should not be in perhaps as merchants but the story arch needs to be followed. I could see Bohdan passing away and Sandal having a bigger role in some fashion. I hope they do not just toss his story arch aside and forget about it.

You mean like the writers seem to have done with Morrigan and the God Baby?

I also have mixed feelings about Bodahn and Sandal maybe the player should have to find them in a remote town like Haven.

Likelihood is that they are going to act as the connectors between the games. I would be surprised if they weren't involved moderately in Inquisition.

if anything they need to go more into the romances. Da2 romance felt very shallow...problem isnt in the romance concept, so much as its quality.. in which mass effect 2 and 3 and even origins put dragons age 2 to shame

Given what we found out in DA2, they'll definitely be in the play field of DA3, and I wouldn't be surprised at all if we were to come across them . . .

Nope, Yuri Lowenthal voiced Sandal in every appearance. They don't sound alike, that much is true, but Yuri Lowenthal voiced them all.

I like DAII Sandal's voice though.

So far Sandal is the only person who showed a possibility to be as powerful as Flemeth.

Interesting to know.  Thank you.  But there is no "Nope" about it.

Read my post again.  I never said for certain that Yuri didn't do the acting - only that Sandal sounded different in Witch Hunt by comparison to the other two games.  Ejoslin said "the actor", but even then she never states or implies that it was a different actor for certain.  She only states "whoever".

Edit:  Zeldrick 2 posts down understood.

Ewwww! Please, not that, not for any reason.

I wouldn't really mind seeing Bodhan and Sandal again, but not so frequently. Having them at Hawke's mansion was too much. Also since apparently they are bringing them back, I would also like to see some other questions answered , like resolving Morrigan and the old god baby's story, or what happened to the npc's in DA2.

I don't mind them too much as long as they're not overdone or get stale. I'd definitely prefer to see Morrigan, Leliana, Anora, and/or Alistair again, though.
