Well, today I reminded a scene from a film, and thinking about ME 3 ending... I think the lesson fits.
5 minutes, but completely worthy.

While I have never played the original endings I can honestly say that the endings in the extended cut are great and ME3 is my favorite of the trilogy I'll enjoy playing it over and over again

If you are able to enjoy them - great, I am happy for you. For those of us that would prefer more than the villain arbitrarily giving up and letting us win just before we are completely wiped out, too bad.
