I'm not sure where the right place is for this topic but here goes. As a reader and sometime contributor on the forums I think some things could be done to make them more user-friendly. Here are 2 things I would like:
  • A 'go to top of page' button at the bottom of the page. Sometimes after reading a page I want to go elsewhere and the link is at the top. I would prefer not to have to scroll up several screens.
  • Ability to upload my own avatar without a lot of work-arounds while upside down on a Tuesday and alternate Thursdays.
Do you have ideas on improving the forums?

1. There should be a "preview" button for anything one plans to submit so that one gets a chance to see how it will appear and edit mistakes etc before publishing the post to the community.

2. Larger pictures should be allowed in the posts, especially in albums; current size is restricted to small postcards.

3. Editing a post containing coloured text should not make the colour disappear and force the poster to recolour that text every time.

4. One should be able to assign colours to whole blocks of text at a time, not one single row of text at a time.

5. There's a message bug about updates that can make the message "1 new update(s)" pop up forever when you log in, even though you've responded to that message, like a group invitation, long ago; and after months, I have yet to find a moderator willing to fix my particular instance of it. Edit: on May 4, Jeff Rousell finally solved this issue for me, and for this I'm grateful.

Etc, etc. The present technical standard of this site is below average for game forums.
