Congratulations and good luck.

If anyone else is planning on having a child, may I suggest Marauder Shields (first name and middle name, respectively) as a name?

Man, grow up. Even my imaginary kids Kaylee & Malcolm would laugh at such a nerdy name.

Seriously though, congratulations! I sincerely wish your little family the best. Ain't it moments like these when this community suddenly becomes really cool?

Liara is a lovely name!
Btw, about being named after a videogame character, I see absolutely no problem. I was named after Don Diego de la Vega, El Zorro, a fictional character from comic books/movies. I know Diego comes from Jacob which is way older than the character, but I'm talking about the inspiration for my name, not the origin.

I always thought the second form was better, so I named my kid Marauder Health instead.

Because a majority of kids will be playing Mass Effect and growing up with it.  Kindergarden "I've had enough of your disingenuous assertions".

Can I bully you cause of your name? Legend, or Ledgend.

Even though Spiros is a common name... in Greece - people here in Canada, ever since I was little - were like Woah, that's such a sweet name, so I don't see Liara being any different, it's not like it's applejuice or something that the kids can relate to.

And congratulation, btw.

sad man, you couldnt even think of a name for your baby girl without resorting to a f**king video game. there is such a thing called real life and no it cant be found in a game, the wife/mistress/girlfriend should leave/divorce/charge you more money or stop playing WoW with you!!!!!!!

GROW UP to all who have to rely on a video game to name something or someone or to take inspiration from after all its only a story and a half fixed one at that.

its starting to look like a cult here with all the FANATICS (usa calls fanatics terrorists)

dude, if you got nothing good to say then keep your trap shut.

parents also name their kids things they can't afford: Mercedes, pearl, diamond, rent, phone bill, BF3 premium Image IPB

to the main topic starter, congrats on your new baby and the name you chose.

It only takes one.
And from the sound of it I'm guessing their not the type of people who tell their kids how to deal with bullies.

You sir, are too cynical. Poeople don't get bullied over games.. and seeing as how ME is done, kids won't know where the name originated from. Plus in fairness, Liara isn't actually that bad a name.
