I don't know about you, but I'm totally fine with Brian Bloom coming back as Varric and narrate my Inquisitor's tale xD
If that means he comes back as a companion again this gets my vote. :3

Her intro to Kingdoms of Amalur was pretty much the only good thing about it.

Actually I would quite like that as well. Kind of as a recap of events after his interogation up to now and how the world and changed and the climate in Thedas has evolved.

More railroaded experience? No thanks. I do not need a narrator to tell my character's journey. Enough with Duncan or Varric already. They knows nothing about my character. Just let me discover the world myself without other people's "unreliable" account.
Because the narrator in Baldur's Gate really railroaded the hell out of us.

How did Duncan as a narrator "railroad?" Also, his only info about your character was a very skeletal background that explained the framework in which your character grew up.

Which later being misused by BioWare to explain a full blown, not only railroading set-in-stone story experience but also completely out-of-character Hawke.
Third person narrator should never be allowed in the first place.
I don't mind narrator for documentaries like Animals Planet or America's Funniest Home Video tho.

You didn't answer his question at all.
I did. Duncan in DAO is justifcation for Varric in DA 2 and BioWare's interest to tell THEIR suck messy 3 ACTS story.

I have to agree with Enigmatick.Enigmatick wrote...

I can see how the origins themselves might limit one's character concept but that's separate from Dunan's narration, which is there to make sure the player knows what the PC knows.

And he asked how Duncan 'railroaded' you in DA:O, you just replied that he was used as a justification for Varric's 'railroading'. Did Duncan actually make the story more linear through his Narration?
Yes. Duncan narrate the intro, telling fairy tales about of the Blight, the origin of darkspwans, The Maker bull****, the black city bla bla before he goes on to touch the framework of each protagonist origins. I don't need all those nonsense account especially about the Maker and the Black City. It doesn't make the story anymore believeable.

The PC knows nothing about the existence of The Maker, The Black City and shouldn't be exposed with such ridiculous notion especially from the perspective of Dallish Elven PC Origins and Dwarven PC Origins.

That may be true if the PC lives in a completely closed society, but they do not since they trade with other races. Knowledge of the Maker and the Black city would seep in. In fact one of the dwarves Brother Burkel is spreading that doctrine. The city elves work in the city and would be exposed to it. The Dalish elves still have contact with outsiders through trade.
