I only purchased Dragon Age II to play through Felicia Day's story - I guess a lot of you didn't like Tallis, and are not particular fans of how her character fits into Dragon Age. I haven't had a chance to play it, but I will probably enjoy it.

I certainly doubt she deserves to be compared with the Jessica Chobot issue. I'm one of the few people who liked Allers, it was alright. She really didn't deserve all the personal attacks (that for some reason, continue even after she pretty much left the industry) from so-called fans.

I really would like a return of Felicia Day in one form or another. She's a really awesome icon of geek culture, and having her interested in these games is awesome.

I can understand if people did not like her character but not enough to pelt personal attacks on someone. I would like to see Tallis return, it would be interesting to have her as a fully-fledged companion. If not I suspect she may factor in with the Qunari or Tal-vashoth in DAI.

If being harsh about the character Tallis constitutes a personal attack against Felicia Day, that really does make a case for there being too much self-insertion in the DLC.

Anyone who has spent any amount of time on BSN knows that some characters are better loved than others. Some characters are very polarizing. No matter how passionately their admirers love these characters, you're going to have some people who dislike them just as intensely. These are opinions. Neither group is wrong.

Of course neither group is wrong when it comes to opinions. I just see no need to take it overboard. If you do not like a character, acknowledge it and post to Bioware on why you didn't like it. Sending it straight to the VA does not improve things as it make things worse. But I guess some of the users moto on here is "make things worse".

To answer the OP: NO.

Her voice did not fit the world at all. You've got Fereldan accents, Orlesian accents, Qunari accents, and then... Tallis.

No thank you.

No. I can't stand her character. Sten says in Origins that women of the Qun don't fight, the Arishok says in DA2 that Fenris should not suggest he fight a woman.

To see some elven woman appear out of nowhere and single-handedly save the day multiple times while preaching about the Qun just bothered the sh*t out of me. It's like BioWare just threw the religion/culture out the window for this pointless DLC. I don't want any more rule-benders in Dragon Age. Protagonist included.

I completely agree.

That is a very good point.  It's great that Bioware gave Tallis not one but two showcase features but now that they're evidently really fleshing out Thedas and exploring the different cultures they need to be more consistent in definition.

Look forward to Tallis returning just to see the reactions of the players who don't like her and/or don't like Day.

Angrywolves - you have said the same thing 4 or 5 times now. Change the record as you are coming across as very arrogant. I just read the whole thread, no-one here has said they do not like Felicia Day as a person - the majority DO say she was an annoying character they would rather not see again.

Personally I don't mind Felicia Day at all, love The Guild and her appearances on Tabletop and the TGS podcast. But the way Tallis was presented and written (and, to be honest the VA was not great) was very poorly done and put me right off seeing her character again in anything but a very minor role. That and the fact that you cannot argue with her and the railroading at the end was bloody annoying.

and I said also hubster people who don't like Day personally would't admit it.
You give too much credit to people being 100 percent truthful all the time.
I'm entitled to have my opinion.
You're entitled to yours.
Have a nice day.

Can we say afraid to voice an opinion lest we be cut down by all the fans? Her story is told. Move on and get to a new one. I can't wait to see they stories they've got to tell in DA:I.

All I know of Felicia Day is from Tallis and Supernatural, and I'm not in awe about her. I don't hate her character. I don't find Tallis annoying. I don't mind seeing her again making a short appereance.
