MOST of us know our place and can deal with platinum rather easily.
There is no need for tryouts here.
The people that can't handle platinum with ease are usually quite forthcoming about it.

Forgive me for not taking you at face value, but I've been to the Bungie Forums.
'Twas a dark place.

Haha, I love how the random quickly learned of your crab feeding ways only to do it to himself. Glorious indeed.LAZERAK47 wrote...

I will talk about the most trivial topics without your approval. I will breathe into the mic as loudly as I please. I will feed you right into the welcoming arms of a crab every chance I get. I will attempt to lock you in the Reactor if you're careless enough to go through it. I will use a rocket to take out a single Geth Prime drone if I'm in Geth rage mode.
Will you pick me?
Also, what makes you qualified to evaluate Gold and Platinum players? What if you don't live up to my standards?
Did this to a random last night. He went down again the next wave with me right next to him, and he instantly medi-gel'd right into the grasp of the crab again. Justice served.
A rage gel crabbing. Glorious.
To lazer, if you drop the tryouts, you will likely get much better responses than you are dealing with now.
You are correct, but it is a necessary evil to in order to find players who're actually interested. If good teammates come with a torrent of immature comments, the end result is worth it.
Except it's not a necessary evil. You'll find that the people on BSN (for the most part, I've played with some terrible players from BSN too) are usually far more competent than the typical PUG. But the fact that you laid out your own set of rules
for people to play with you is an absolute joke. For instance, people need your approval to talk about things? Seriously?

I've played with some rather annoying people who believe having a Mic gives them the green light to do whatever they want with it. I'm usually fine with whatever people wish to talk about until it becomes abusive. So yes, unfortunately, it is a requirement because there are some rather cruel and biased people out there. I want all my teammates to have fun, so certain steps need to be implemented in order to preserve a friendly atmosphere. If you were offended by my post, I am sorry, it was not intended to be an attack.

No strings, no BS.
I think you'd be surprised how competent some of us are.
From what you've said yourself in this thread you clearly would benefit from some tips.
Let the better players help you.

If you have to play with PUG's all the time try starting conversations with new people that play well. Then you can make friends and not have to be evaluated.
Because that would require much trial and error... and error ... and error.
This way is much quicker and filters out those who wouldn't otherwise make the cut. Make no mistake, I've met some excellent players on PUG but the amount of lower-tier players isn't worth the effort.
My standards for a good player are not unfair. As long as you play well, you're clear to join up.

Honestly OP, you'd do well to just let this thread die, start up a new one (minus the evaluation crap and the "need your approval to talk about things"). And just ask if anyone wants to play with you.

If this is your way of trying to get me to play a game, I accept.
I find that putting in certain "questionable" elements in my posts allows me to find players with whom I'd get along with. I am not looking for the most players I can, I am looking for the BEST players I can and to me, players who are eager to prove themselves and go above and beyond are the kind I'm looking for, which is why I placed the "Trial filter". Those who see it and believe it to be a waste of time are either one of three things:
Insecure so they put on an air of superiority to appear better than they are.
Prideful and unpleasant to be around.
Or (most unfortunate) they believe me to be prideful. While this may deter skilled players, it will still safeguard against the aforementioned, which is worth it in my opinion. While I may not get many players, I won't get the kind with whom I will not get along with.

Now you are being unreasonable. Changing my words in order to suit your point is quite low. You are not worth my time sir.
