I'm working on learning cutscenes as much as possible, but I can't seem to figure this little bit out... I got some other basics down and I am working on a little fight scene. I just don't know how to put the weapons in the creatures hands. it's probably something simple and stupid but any help is appreciated.
How to make creatures wield their weapons in cutscenes?

If you just want them to have their weapons in their hands there is an 'action' you can put along the timeline which has them equipping their weapons. (Add Action....Draw Weapon)
If you want them to unsheath their weapons you will have to put that weapon equipping action on the time line and you will need to use a unsheathing animation. You will have to adjust the animation with action to get the timing right of the creature having the weapon in their hand at the right time.

Thanks for the quick response! Does this work for shields too? I tested it on a quick creature but he didn't have his shield out. Not too big of a problem at all, don't need a shield, just checking though. Again, thanks.

I believe it does, not 100% sure though. Do you have the shield equipped on the creature model?

I have set in the off hand slot. Do I need to do any more? It's there on his back.

Not sure, I will have to test that in the next day or two.

Okay after testing, what you do is highlight the 'draw weapon' action you have placed on the time line and look at it's properties in the object inspector. There is a 'Main drawn' and a 'off drawn' just the main drawn is set to true by default. Switch the 'off drawn' to true as well and the actor will draw both weapon and shield.
