For those of you (OP)...who clearly dislike Bioware and ME3...why are you still here posting in the ME3 forums?

I have said it before...and I will say it again...Haters like you are absolutely the worst kind of people.

Forgive for what exactly?

The original endings left me confused rather than upset and the EC and DLC fixed that. (Leviathan and Citadel, OMG!)

I love ME3. More than ME1. Or ME2. BUT: It's emotional impact builds on the legacy of the first two games. And their foreshadowing. (The endings were actually foreshadowed much more than I had thought) I also enjoy the ME trilogy more than the DA series and that's because of ME3.

I don't agree with this actually.

There needs to be more than blind loyalty and ass-kissing.  Criticism, even hateful criticism, tells you far more about what to do (and improve) next time than any sweet accolades can.  The people who are still here bitterly lashing out in raw emotional rage are not haters... they actually LOVE the setting (and love it far too much, but I digress).

Yes, the fans here go WAY overboard, and I think if you were to meet many of them face to face they'd admit to it.  But if Bioware is smart, they've stored a lot of this fallout away for future reference.  If they have, and learned the right lesson, you'll see it reflected in future products.  If not... you won't.

BioWare has created a whole new scifi universe that needs exploring in my opinion it has introduced you to a storyline no others can really compare to

We should be thanking them for these

Characters and their development through the games.
the humor for when like joker calls Javik "Prothy the Prothean" which was extreamly funny and i wish i could have called Javik that.

The Mass Effect Universe

The Reapers (Ultimate Antagonist)

Free mutliplayer DLC

And Extended Cut  (They spent money in order to pay the people they needed to pay in order to get us that)

and moments that make you want to smile and stuff. like that.

sure they messed up at the end the first time but if you don't like the ending go download (MEHEM) i will gladly say i did because i wanted my Shep to have a good ending. some people think he needs to show the galaxy that he will pay the ultimate price and die a hero.

But i will thank BioWare for introducing me to this game. it has honestly probably changed my life.

I will gladly put a +1 for BioWare giving everyone a great Trilogy.

I am well within my rights to post here, regardless of my opinions on the game. This site isn't just for ass-kissers and brown-nosers.

I supported you and I was about to post and say that I agree and would have defended your right to speech even if it differs from my own opinion, but then I got to that. That just sounds like that anyone who doesn't agree with you is a faceless yes-man and that their opinions are irrelevant, thus they shouldn't be allowed them. So I'm a little saddened by that.

Given the post that ewas in response to, can you blame him?

He was just called "the worst kind of person" for daring to have an opinion contrary to the poster's.

I agree with you...and I think this site needs more than just "ass-kissers and brown-nosers".

It needs people who will critique and criticize things that Bioware does.

However, the people I am talking about...are the people who do nothing more but simply hate on the game and bioware.

The people...who a year later...still do nothing but post about how much they hate the game and bioware.

Not only is the OP trying to sh*t on Bioware and the game...a year after the fact...they are asking the people, who have "forgiven" bioware, "why"...as if it's wrong of them to forgive...and wrong of them to move on.

This person...and those alike..."haters"...as I have labeled them...are who I directed my post at...

...and I stand behind it.

Forgive them for what? For not including a free vibrator in my ME3 copy? Mmm yeah, I was pretty disappointed about that, but I've moved on.

Oh wait, this is another whining about the ending thread? Lawl.

I think Citadel was their informal apology to the fans. I don't really see why I need to forgive them for anything. The reason why I raged over the ending of the game was because I loved the product that the company produced, and that I wanted it to be perfected through my input towards it. I love Mass Effect; I love Bioware for the game that they produced that made me so emotionally connected; and I love the community for their similar opinion about just how awesome Mass Effect is and how it has affected us as a whole.

First...it has nothing to do with simply having a different opinion as myself.

Second...I called out one person specifically.

If someone else feels that they fit the description I gave...and lumps themselves into that category...then that's on them.

I like the multiplayer, and the singleplayer has some neat character interaction.

I couldn't care less about the ending - I have no positive or negative opinion.

And now that the Citadel DLC is a thing, I won't play through the endgame once I'm done with my current playthrough ever again.

I don't know about you., but I paid $15 for that "apology" While it was a good dlc, that is all it was.

So no, I dont' really consider that an "apology" as such.  I am still very concerned about Bioware, the direction they're moving in, and the disconnect they seem to have developed with their audience.

You're not fooling anyone.  You "called out" everyone who posts ehre unhappy with ME3 with your hate.

Nice try, though.

I'm not sure why Bioware would want or need our forgiveness. It's not like they intentionally created a terrible ending just to stick it to the fans, they put out something they thought would be good that turned out to be disappointing. But there's no need for them to apologize, just try harder to put out a better product next time.

There wasn't anything to "forgive" unless you're one of those people who are still, over a year later, fixated on the endings because you didn't get your dream ending and want to ignore everything else that was good about the game. I can point at Mordin's arc on Tuchanka as one example.

As for the Citadel DLC, it was pretty clearly meant to be lighthearted fun and a valentine to fans. But hey, feel free to keep being bitter for the rest of your natural life over one single game! That's totally healthy and normal behavior! *rolleyes*

P.S. BioWare doesn't owe you an apology.

Bioware didn't lie, we all just expected something different but they gave us what they mainly said they would. Every decision we made mattered at some different point whether it mattered in a bigor small way

The storytelling.. I'm convinced they didn't get to finish some things due to time but still it's there game. If you don't like it, don't play it. Move on. It's not changing. (I personally enjoyed it more than ME2 only because ME2 kinda took me away from the main story and my favorite squadmates when they could have had a lot of the ME3 stuff in there and then made ME3 nothing but fighting reapers and Cerberus withh already made allies.. but that may have been difficult to sell ME3 to newcomers so I understand)

The DLC was great. It was a nice send off to Shepard and his squad.. which is what is ending. NOT Mass Effect.

The next Mass Effect might take place during Mass Effect 3.. any plot holes may very well be answered there.

Basically I'm being patient and hopeful and waiting for more stories and at the end of the day it really is just a game, one of my favorites. Better than a lot of other games. I still feel the need to play ALL of them.

The fact that they are so hush hush about DA3 and are coming out with the bad before the good i take as a sign bioware and all the different teams have learned a lesson from ME3 so yes i can forgive them

What I find funny is why people who are still upset or whatever are so desperate to convince others to share their opinions. It is never just "I'm not happy with Bioware" it is always "I'm not happy with bioware and neither should you be!"

Please, I can form my own opinions, I don't need help from anyone on the internet.

As someone else would probably have already pointed out, Bioware is a Business.

I might think of them as a friend but It would not be any more truer than a relationship between a hooker and John, a drug dealer and mark, or anyone selling a service to a customer.

Fact is, I loved Bioware games. Every game, including ME3 had the one quality that I find other game companies lack or lacking. That is immersion and the ability to make you care for characters fictional.

They don't just make games, they make experiences.
Stories, lives and characters that you can live out in your imagination.

As a customer though, recently I have been less than pleased. PR and Hype aside, they have forgotten one aspect of what made them so successful as a vendor of dreams in the past, that is the reward portion for purchasing and playing those said experiences.

I do not appreciate having invested my time, my imagination in creating a character to act a certain way, only at last moment have him replaced by a total stranger.

So, no.
I have nothing to forgive but Bioware sure has much to do to regain my trust in their products. Trust that equates to me spending money to purchase said products.

This is kind of like calling up your ex and demanding to know why (s)he cheated on you a year after you broke up.

Yes I've moved on. Hell no I've not "forgiven" a damn thing. And there are people who actually *enjoyed* Jar Jar Binks. That doesn't make the character objectively suck less.

Bottom line: trust broken. Never again pre-order a BioWare game. Wait a month or so for player feedback regarding game completion. Lesson learned.

--About the "Joined 2009..." note under my avatar: I've been on the BioWare forum since before 2001. Wiping nearly a decade of heretofore satisfactory customer relationship is irksome every time I see it.
