no problem yesterday - today, it crashes my computer

I just bought NWN2 through the GOG sale.

I spent all day playing yesterday with no problem. But tonight when I try to start up, my computer crashes completely and I have to reboot - this happened three times in a row.

There's been no change to my computer since yesterday. What could be up?
