Okay. I'm now aware that you need 862,100 XP to unlock this trophy. I just came to that realisation after finishing Noveria. Posted Image

During my first playthrough, I reached level 50. All of the XP I received after that didn't 'count'. During this second playthrough, I have now reached level 59. I've been unlocking every loot container and I have been killing every enemy outside of the Mako. I have also been driving over and picking up all of the loot on the planets that I've touched down on. I have a couple more of the side missions to complete that unlock after Noveria. I also have Virmire, Ilos and The Citadel.

After I have finished this, I'll look to start a new game with this character to make it to level 60.

My question is: Will I be able to reach level 60, just by playing the main story missions? I'm trying to do this as quickly as possible. It would be nice not to have to to drive up 100ft mountains to reach loot for a tiny bit of XP. Will this be possible?

Also, does the difficulty level effect the amount of XP that you receive?

Difficulty does not affect XP to any appreciable degree.

There are a couple areas you can try to get infinite XP, like part of the last mission.

I don't know the answer exactly.

I just finished a quick mass effect insanity run. Started the game with a level 58 character, played only the main story missions plus one side mission (Asari diplomacy), skipped the looting because I already had the best weapons and armor etc. and reached - level 59. So to answer your question: it may be possible, but could be a close call.

Thank you. I couldn't find an answer to the XP question anywhere.

Did you only just reach level 59? If you made it through maybe half way, that would give me hope.

Looked it up: I got to 839.501 experience points in that quick run before facing Saren (my final save game). Not sure though at what point total level 59 starts, so I'm not sure if I was close. But you are already at level 59 instead of 58 to start the game, right? I got my one extra level in the middle of the game if I remember right, but apparently didn't do enough extra stuff in the second half of the game to reach enough points to get to level 60...

I see. Thank you.

This is actually going better than I thought. I'm now locked down on the Citadel and I have 832,806 XP.

Another 30,000 to go!

Well, I finished the game and I reached level 60!

Got it while fighting on the Citadel.
