It seems redundant, I know. But to sum up my theory in 1 or 2 sentences, this is what I think. (In the mass effect universe) reapers saw the potential of young humanity, and decided that we are nessisaey to harvest eventually, and the dinosaurs where too dangerous for humans, so the reapers exterminated them to be sure human evolution is unhindered. Lol

How did the reapers even know humans would come along? were they clairvoyant?

They'd have to be pretty damn clairvoyant to see about 59 million years into the future.

OTOH, it's not inconceivable that the Reapers thought the dinosaurs weren't ever going to be useful, and decided to reset Earth evolution.

...You are aware that there weren't even mammals as we know them today back then?

Doubtful, the dinosaurs were probably in space exploring.
It is not impossible they will return in ME4.

10/10 for the whole thread.

Would band repeatedly. Would not throw out the airlock.

Um, yes there were. Obviously not as numerous or variable as today, but there were definitely mammals.

Hahaha I was thinking this earlier, what if the reapers do exist in our universe( or something on those lines ) an we are eventually going to run into them. I don't for a minute believe this is the only planet with life on but that's another discussion entirely.

actually based on the evidence we have found mammals evolve from a group of mammal like reptiles just after the dinosaur extinction/ though this is on what was discovered so it may not be true- we've probably not found most things that lived tht log ago due to bone decays and such

Could this pave the way for Dinosaur DLC / Dinosaur Protagonist for ME4? classes to choose from could be Brachiosaurus, Triceratops, Stegosaurus, Tyrannosaurus, Spinosaurus, and Velociraptor.

Nice theory except for the minor detail that the Reapers are not doing the Cycle thing to allow species like humans to flourish but to prevent them from making synthetics that will eventually wipe out all life.

Mid triassic period...
Mammals and dinosaurs evolved simultaneously after the Permian extinction event...
