The reapers are destroyed and you have a reunion with your crew . Its not Perfect but its unquantifiably better than the Epic fail bioware came up with

Its the mod for all that QQd about the ending. Happy endings is just something that happends in thailand.
I love how people attack the "happiness" of it when it does the best thing ever to the story: It removes the god awful Catalyst that breaks the entire plot.

+1 the question had already been answer to the ops satisfaction. i think the poster was just looking to start another war . Its amazing how many people put down happy endings in general.

If one were to remove all the things people claimed "broke the plot" of the games, the series would consist of Me1's opening cutscene followed immediately by the stargazer

Hardly. Name one "story portion" that actively goes back and completely null and voids 2 games worth of buildup?
Not even heatsinks does nearly this much crazy.

Why would I invest the hand-wringing about the ending with anymore validity then the people who hated the first game before they'd reasonably had chance to play it?

Because edgy, ambigious, grimdark, pretentiously artistic, moronic, lorebreaking, contradicting, inserting powerful character at the very last second, endings are the way to go.

1) Leonardo DiCaprio survive the Titanic incident (because freeze-in-the-water-thesis is stupid and unscientific. MEHEM ignores Iceberg kid logic and allows climbing on the door)
2) Gives you the option of convincing the Japanese to stop the war (dropping the nukes is bad story telling - Screw you Casey Hudson)
3) Arnold "Legion" Schwarzenegger survives the molten metal cauldron (MEHEM refuses Skynet brat logic, so Arnie doesn't need to destroy the final chip and can live happily with John. John Connor, not John Shepard).
It truly is the most logical and proper ending to the story!

4) War Assets matter. Thus if you gather enough armies of the north, Maximus Decimus Meridius both has his vengeance and survives (happy ending available).
5) Makes Wilson return in Cast Away, because Wilson floating away is edgy, ambigious, grimdark, pretentiously artistic, moronic, lorebreaking, contradicting and simply bad writing (screw you Mac Walters, you tasteless hack)

You know in regards to 4 they almost had a Gladiator sequel that made Maximus be resurrected by the gods and go time travelling throughout history until he ended up in the modern day Pentagon (he'd also fight THE NATIONAL SOCIALISM PARTY)
that hurt to type
MEHEM is one way to go about things, but I prefer MEEM if I had to choose, since I like the bittersweet ending, just not the nonsensical ending(s).

Instead of lumping all synthetics together, treating them like technology and asking you to solve the "synthetics problem" with themes that are fundamentally racist and antithetical to Mass Effect...

It's a good mod. Not the perfect mod and nor the one Mass Effect 3 needs. but it's a hundred times better than the pure unrefined garbage that Bioware plagiarized from Deus Ex.
No its a terrible mod.
