Bosses will take longer - mooks will pretty much die as quickly as at X.

Have you heard about the Falcon? It does a much better job than Venon.

Interesting watching the videos... because of it's weight, I never tried the weapon on caster kits, but now I see that it fills a slot similar to the Falcon and the Scorpion.

Question, do you ever carry a second weapon against Cerberus, or is it easy enough to feet-shoot the Guardians?

Yes it does! It's especially good on the QME 'cause he uses Grenades.

No, I don't carry a Secondary - in the Cerberus part of the video you'll see that I can usually kill Guardians pretty fast

It actually doesnt... not even close. The Venom OSKs a lot of enemies, the Falcon doesnt OSK anything. The Venom has access to the Shotgun Omni-Blade, Falcon doesnt. The Falcon does stagger well, but it doesnt kill very well... the Venom does. Venom also has a better ROF.

Isn't the AR blade same thing? Haven't used it so can't be certain..

Apparently it has only half the damage bonus.

I've been using it on my juggie double tap, carge next shot while I melee its been very profitable. It's great when u get in the mosh pit of phantoms and dragoons.

Just don't try and sniple with one of these guys in your game.  Nice vid Max, you're almost too effective with this weapon.

This Krogan knows. And I know he tried it out himself 
I actually attempted to replicate the playstyle in the video with the Falcon just to be sure - I couldn't get away with half the things I would with the Venom. RoF and damage are simply superior.

Thanks for the tips dude. My Venom II with the BatSol destroyed reapers on gold. Got like 141k in a pug. Could it be time to dust off my Salarian engineer? I haven't used that dude in like 8 months.

Another thing unique to the Venom is... it's a gun that's actually worth using the POS Shotgun ULM on. All it NEEDS is the High Caliber Barrel... spare ammo is a luxury and Omni-Blade is only for melee builds. ULM actually makes sense on it when using the Venom with a caster.

I agree, the Venom is to the Falcon what the Wraith is to the Eviscerator. Also, as mega pointed out, since it's a projectile weapon, you only need the regular barrel + ULM.
