Given the Chobot blowback from ME, I don't think Jessica would want to come within 100 miles of a Bioware event (and vice versa). I didn't even know Will Wheaton was a fan... and I'm really not sure I would value his opinion on the game just because he is a celebrity (no offense, should Will Wheaton read this post).
I would say the best way to promote the game is to plug player choice. Show off the character creator, show off the Dialgoue options and system, show off the same fight six or seven different ways/builds to show how things can evolve quite differently. And, most importantly, show how choices in-game, as well as imports, can result in very different experiences (I would be fine with using fake, demonstration plot lines for this, to avoid any spoilers from those who don't want them).
And please... for the love of all that is holy... do not use a set protagonist in any marketing of CGI pieces. DA is about choice. Don't undercut your own product by trying to stuff a set character for us to feel like is the "real" main character in mind.

Maybe they can have Will Wheaton, Jessica Chobot, Felicia Day and other prominent fans playing the game and giving their oh golly gee reactions.
This is exactly what they shouldn't do first. They need to come out strong and confident in their own game, not get a bunch of minor celebrities to try and pimp out the game for them.
Confidence is key here, after the negative impact of DA2.
The big E3 reveal with a cool teaser with in-game footage (not CG!), then the big Game Informer cover story + info dump, followed by probably the most important thing of all, high quality developer walkthroughs showing off the game in detail, like the 20 minute Skyrim walkthrough, or the really early Dragon Age: Origins walkthroughs by Dan Tudge. And not just combat stuff. Show us that its not only going to be a great Dragon Age game, but also a great RPG that can stand against the powerful competition.
After that, if they want to spend millions on CG trailers full of elves flipping around like dorks and broody mages with glowing eyes, or getting Felicia Day to get a Dragon Age III tattoo on her chest or whatever, then go nuts, I say.

Music. Use the games own music, or appropriate alternatives for any trailers and not anything boring and meaningless like the average game. Maybe even host the soundtrack online somewhere, maybe not Bioware but I think that's been done before.
If there are any online components, make sure they are ready and advertise them as such. I think people will be nervous about that & it would be motivating to give them some security.
Take a que from Kickstarter & have a sort of unofficial BSN tiered event. Where there are certain milestones the game can make in a certain amount of time, where passing them will mean earning some fun and interesting stuff for the community. Like short videos introducing us to the devs and what they worked on with the game, or hints, or devs doing something embarrassing, or whatever interesting thing they can come up with. Just something for fun with BSN. A fan thing.
Personally, I'd be happy to pay for any version that comes with a nice art book, character content, or a documentary.

There is a reason why Skyrim is still selling at a decent prize.

If only. Dragon Age and Mass Effect are just painful attempts.

Focus on those issues (while still trying to improve other things like combat, user-game interface, soundtrack [which is usually VERY good, but not what I think about in most Bioware games]) and improve things that need improving, and they'll have a great game that screams "This is Bioware!"

The real question is whether this game will be a return to form for Bioware. After the dissappointments of Mass Effect 3 and Dragon Age 2, the quality of the final product is what they should focus on.
So really, the best way to enhance sales is to not ff**k up the game itself.

A Xanthos Aeducan plushie would definitely get me to pre-order the game - make it happen, BioWare!

EA knows we'd be too busy Elmyra'ing our Xanthos plushie to buy any DLC. They'd never let that happen.

Yup. Best way to enhance our sales is to make an exceptionally high quality game. This will get the Felicia's, Jessica's, and Wil's talking about the game of their own volition.
