Anyone ever have the toolset just choke intermittantly after having it work well for awhile? Loading, scrolling, selecting, everything. It stops then goes and stops and goes, it's not fluid anymore. Whats the score here? Just reinstall?

Also, i think i deleted the main lothering from the single player module but it still works fine, so i guess it's working of fmy duplicate. How do i restore Lothering? =P

I believe there is a memory issue with the ts.

Sluggish performance - I usually get this when working in the level editor and I have an unfiltered model pane open. Try using the filter option on top to reduce the amount of stuff in the list, that usually does it for me.

Lothering gone - you only deleted it from the development database that comes with the toolset, not from the game files themselves. You could try somehow restoring it from the original database dump, though doing so without killing all your custom modules might require a lot of fiddling.

Ciao, muh!

You're probably right =P Bleh. Well if i can just use the Lothering in my custom module i can just extend it to single player now that i have a tut on how to do so.

Just mod the area, refresh override and export with/without dependants?

Yeah I used to use the modify save game trick to increase my inventory. But with the new 1.01 toolset it chokes out on that and fails to load the save game do to that it exceeds memory.

Such an odd thing this toolset. Some streamlining patchwork would be WONDERFUL. Its responding well now, no chokes or delays. (shrug) haha

You might be able to use builder-to-builder load to import the missing Lothering resources from the core and single player DADBDATA file posted at http://social.biowar.../project/1331/.

Take care not to accidentally B2B load the whole entire thing, just pick out the things that are missing from single player (sort by the "exists" column). It takes a long time to load the whole thing and it's likely to cause more problems than it solves. I had to do a bit of fiddling to get it to load properly into a completely blank database in the first place. :)

Alternately, and perhaps better in this situation, you can view deleted resources from the Tools -> Deleted Resources menu and restore them directly that way. I suspect this is less likely to go awry.

Are you in the cutscene editor?

You're using headtracking right?  There shoudl be a button on top that enable and disables accurate headtracking. Turn it off and once you're done with your work then turn it back on.

did that help?

Open a lot of files, it uses lots of memory. That's not really suprising. If you go to options there's various things you can turn off, particularly in the level and area editors that reduce the amount of work the toolset has to do to display an area.
