I want to get in to reading books but I tend to lose boredom in settings I'm not that familar with. But I am familar with the Dragon Age setting and heard about Asunder, so I wondered if anyone can give me insight (without revealing any spoilers) and tell me if it is something to read.

I personally really enjoyed it. It was cool that in included characters like Shale and Wynee again. It isn't an amazing book by any means, but I definately think if you enjoy Dragon Age in general you'll like it.

Don't know about Asunder, but I have read the first two tie-in novels and whilst they were an enjoyable read, they were far from being good books in my opinion.

If you want an interesting setting, try Frank Herbert's Dune series.

I don't believe in wasting my time reading novels I don't like. So, I give one 50, sometimes 100 pages to impress me. Asunder didn't manage to do so in that time.

But then I'm something of a literary snob who only occasionally reads genre fiction anymore.

I really enjoyed it. Basically, if you like the Dragon Age setting and enjoy BioWare's characters you'll have fun reading it. Of course, it's not some literary masterpiece with thematic depth and a plot so grand that it'll make A Song of Ice and Fire wet itself, but it's a fun read and does most, if not everything at a decent to good level. I think it's the best of the DA books, DG gets better and better at them really.

It was pretty good. Not the best book that i've read the last year but it was worth the time and money
