Why is the DLC still for sale on the front page when it isn't actually available?

What front page are you talking about?

http://dragonage.bioware.com/

There is a link to RTO.  It doesn't say anything about it not being available yet.  Basically, you click it, it takes you to the next page where you pay for it, and then you get .....nothing.

The ethical thing to do would be to take that link down until it is available.  Otherwise, it is scammish.

Well, the only thing I see on that page is a flashbox with adds for various DLC.  Clickig the RtO flash sends me to a description about RtO.  Although if I click on yet another link on THAT page it does direct me to my social account page here for authorization.

Sure, it never says it isn't out yet.  It also doesn't say that it IS.

You aren't buying the DLC, you're getting Bioware points! Good for exactly nothing except DLC.

While that is technically true, selling people something that doesn't exist is not a good way to encourage future purchases.

But it is a great way to make money. Especially if people are willing to pay.

if there is one, why would we be here?

Good question, but all I know is I made a left turn at the sign that said alberquerky and now I am here.

Exactly.  They already have my money for RtO, but then don't at the same time.  I miss exchanging real currency for an actual product, not some proprietary EA/Bioware mess.

I wouldn't say it's "scammish" but "OH SNAP" on pointing out the obvious front page in question.

Still though, I can see why they would advert it but what always gets my attention and what I absolutely love is how "Available this holiday season" is still happily under "Return to Ostagar." :P
