I just hope they call the PC Inquisitor instead of a real surname, it work well in DA:O when every just called the PC warden. In DA2 when everyone called my character Hawke I cringed some of the time, the name was just awful. I responded much better to champion. Maybe if they come up with a good surname, or maybe let you pick a surname, I'd be more open to it. Even in ME I liked everyone calling my character commander rather than Shepard.

If the title "inquisitor" is used to address the PC more often than not, that could open things up and allow an open surname, which I would like.
Also, Amell would be cool, but I'm pretty sure DG confirmed you couldn't be an Amell a few months ago in a thread specifically discussing the subject.

Guerin. It's short, French, and meaningful!
Edit: Just remembered that Arl Eamon's surname is "Guerrin" (with two Rs). That just makes me like it more; gives the Inquisitor an interesting family background.

We already had a pair of Guerrins in DA:O.

Yeah. Just realised that moments after posting. I still stand by my idea.

If the character creator gives an option for the Inquisitor's background I wonder if we could get a unique surname for each option. Like how a Human Noble is a Cousland or a Human Mage is an Amell.

Sorry for some strange reason couldn't stop from digging up that long dead joke.
Anyways, I wonder if we might get different surnames based off of the history we choose for the character and he/she just gets called 'Inquistor' by everyone.

Since A Song of Ice and Fire was a "Major" influence (Yes, heavy sarcasm implied) during the creation of Dragon Age--How about Stark?
