Generally while standing in a crowd of Banshees, Brutes, and Marauders, and even then, it's only to see what wave we're on.

Check it if you want, just dont hide it and be ashamed.
you are right, I never think I'm better then anyone because of score or vice versa, but it is nice to know if you are laggin behind, if you are being or killing inefficiently, or when you gotta put the try hard pannies on (stole that word from megabeast mad props) but don't hide it and don't be ashamed I think imma roll with that advice lol

I only look at it at the beginning of the game to see what faction we got.
Or I might check it if it looks like someone disappeared.

I don't hide it. If I'm doing that much better than everyone else:
A) I have nothing to hide.
They're the ones who should be ashamed.

What's wrong with checking the score? ^^ I check it by the end of every wave, unless I forget or the game is too intense for a small break. I find it important to check the score in a pug because it gives u a general idea on how many missiles/gels you should reserve for later waves, also I can be mentally prepared if I have to solo the later waves. However, if I'm playing with frds and knowing they are capable of carrying the match, then I definitely check a lot less cuz of that sense of secure

There's no shame in checking the scoreboard while waiting for the next wave.

I spend most of the game staring at the scoreboard. Occasionaly I snap out of it to melee a scion or something.

With randoms pretty much always wave two, I need to see who to protect/hang with if things go bad, with friends after extraction.

That's what I do. Or sometimes to see what Wave we're on, if I'm trying to decide whether to nuke a target, and I can't remember if it's Wave 6 Objective or Wave 10 objective.

I check it all the time. An I didn't even know there was this whole thing of looking ashamed about it. So I just stand still and do it.
And besides, if anyone asks me what I'm doing then I could always blame I on lag because Australia.

I usually stop for a few seconds between rounds. No reason to be ashamed of it.

I check in between rounds. When everyone is standing around for a few seconds waiting for the enemies to spawn.

You mean in-game? Trying to hide your e-peening, for shame.
The only time I actually look at the scoreboard in-game is when I forget what round it is.

Don't see the point of hiding it. Hell sometimes after checking I just sit there not moving so I can rest my hands.

Sometimes, especially when drunk, I have to check to see what difficulty I'm doing. But I don't hide it.

About the only time I check the scoreboard in a match is when I get dropped into one so I can check I'm in the right difficulty. Sometimes I'll check between waves six and seven to see what the scores are looking like.
