I'll happily play with them until they decide to quit and add them to my friends list.

Players (more then one) can be a PUG but a PUG can not be a player (one).
PUG = Pick Up Group, meaning a random get-together of strangers.

Reading it like "outscored by a PUG" would imply a combination of the scores of 3 players being higher then the score of one. It is highly unlikely that this is the matter of subject in this thread.

So - I often add players who outscore me in a random match to my friendslist.
The better the better!

Have you not outscore all three people combined before?

I feel happy actually, although this happens very, very rarely. Almost always this means a FR is sent to that player.

Depends. I have no problem with it as long as it isn't because I'm playing like crap. I like having the occasional match where I'm not the one doing all of the heavy lifting.

For example, earlier I was playing a Plat as a Drelldept on a very laggy host and getting downed out of nowhere. Around corners, behind cover, even a few times when there weren't any enemies around as far as I could tell. Also had two instances of a Banshee teleporting through a wall and instantly syncing me. Finished third. That bothered me. I apologized and left.

Playing Gethgineer and finishing second to a well played Piranha GI in a later match didn't.

I have, but that's not the topic is it?

Playing with ppl close to my skill level or better pushes me to go all out.
Carrying others is boring.

So being outscored by someone in a PUG is great but sadly rare to me.
There's a difference, though: you'll know when someone is just good or using a good kit or both or none.

Just outscoring me on a high tier kit while I'm on a low tier one doesn't impress me as much as outscoring me on the same kit, especially on my fav kits.
Basically ... after over 2k games played you can just put the performance of random players into a better perspective and compare it to your own experience while keeping the host question in mind.

For example, when hosting outscoring others is not a lot of fun.

I like it when a random out scores me. People say score doesn't matter, but I find when everyone scores high the game is much smoother.

I won't lie to you. I'd rather not come 4th. But someone has to, and it's better than 5th.

Unless it's my Jugger, in which case I'm pretty happy about it.

After the initial shock and confusion, I become very scared. Facing the unknown is never easy.

I try to see what they are doing, or how their doing it... and try to learn something. Sadly.. the only time it ever happens is in two instances... LOLAcolyte/LOLFlamer combo on the Geth Trooper, or some form of Grenade Spam.

Amused. Intrigued.
I like a bit of friendly competition, but I like the feeling of besting them in said competition.
If they do out-score me I'm content and impressed. But I tend to feel as though they might be pissed off/coming down from adrenaline and justified feeling that they actually did it. Especially if they leave directly after. (seconds from the troph' screen) I also feel as though people are pissed off if they leave right away, if they weren't on top as well.
(unless they were bottom. If they leave asap, it's because their tail is between their legs--- in my imagination.)

I don't care about winning or losing, but it's fun to play for the sport of it--- if it happens to take that direction during the gameplay at least.

I'd be extremely grateful and would take this opportunity to try out some of my sillier builds in the next few games since I know at least I won't be tearing my hair out in the process.
