I see we still have a lot try hards around, better question how would feel if one person outscored the entire lobby

Same answer.  I'd look at it as a learning experience.  If the random can do that, he must be doing something right.  So why not learn something, right?

My object is to get in, kill everything there and get out. The only time I worry about a Gold/Plat. score is *after* I'm extracted. Bronze is well...Bronze and Silver is just for running around and practice builds.

Never seen that happen ... unless it's me with 3 really bad randoms. Seriously, to outscore the entire lobby just needs 1 person who can solo gold (which I suspect everyone on this forum can) + 3 people who should really be in bronze.

So, the odds on it happening with 2 competent players on a team are astronomically slim.

I can't say it's ever happened. If I see I'm getting outscored by wave 8 I go into a blinding rage and black out.

I did that yesterday and got kicked afterwards. I felt bad, but I just got to stuff first and killed stuff before they realised what was going on.

I did get a message saying they wanted to get their friend in, so that was ok.

Happens now and then when I need to be AFK and my cat takes over and walks randomly over the keyboard. He still manages to outscore some of the PUGs.

Image IPBwhat kind of animal are they using? A bird?

I think they are using pugs.  :D

What? I see this all the time. There are four players..it's not typical that 2-3 players are going to tie on score amiright? I do not understand what you are saying.
So almost every single game one player is number 1 on the scoreboard..what am I missing here. :pinched:

Welp, just got ouscored by a guy in a platinum PUG. Didn't really care too much, mostly because I played like ass and I was using an ammo intensive class on Hazard Dagger . Also Asian host = 400-600ms ping

This is a stupid question. If you play with a random group you are a random yourself.

I had this happen yesterday actually. A Krogan Sentinel with a Widow X beat me by like 10-15k. He never really shot his gun, though; He just threw Lift Grenades with impunity, thanks to his Grenade Capacity V. Bosses, Groups, lone Troopers that I had cornered...no one was safe from the Lift Grenade barrage. (I was playing the Asari Justicar). Was more disappointed about how un-Krogan his playstyle was than I was about the score.

Stuff like this usually reminds me of how much more powerful grenades are than other abilities. Whenever I get outscored by a PUG, 9 times out of ten that PUG brought Grenade Capacity V.

my first reaction would have been "Finally some competition", but seeing that most of you think the same way I said to myself, lets be witty and post the stereotypical "rage, blame the lag, send him hatemail, and kick him the next round and or go Full GI/lvl IV equipment", but as this has already been posted as well I wanted to just refrain from posting. but then nobody would know.

PSA to BSN. PuG means "pick-up-game". It is NOT the people playing the game, it IS the type of game.

What are you trying to accomplish by doing this? what if PUG actually meant "pickED-up-gameR"? Why can't you accept, that there are words that refer to an Institution and to a part of it equally? like for example Burning man? or others I can't be bothered to name? lrn2language.

IMHO, I could care less about score in a Pug match, or even when playing with friends. It is about supporting the squad and completing objectives efficiently.

Besides, most of my builds I use in pugs are experimental at best. Some work really well, some not so much.

For me, it is about how fluid the match feels. I have noticed that the closer everyone's score is to one another, the smoother the match feels since everyone is contributing equally. There are some really good pugs out there, rare as they are. If they can out score me, good for them, but I will still give them a run for their money...

Heh, I have two types of games...

1) I am at the bottom on the scoreboard, but we extracted. B)

2) We failed, but I am at the top of the score. :pinched:

I'm a PUG and I outscore people all the time.  Usually not by a lot though.  I hope their feelings aren't hurt.
