Forgive me, but I don't really understand the point. By playing all three games you can easily make choices that will max out your assets. Basically taking on a mantra of "don't shoot anyone, as they could be a war asset latter" is sufficient to obtain the maximum amount of war assets for the end game.

And it's not like TMS actually makes much of a difference to the end game anyway. If you're willing to spend a sizeable chunk of your time searching the galaxy for assets you can get the "best" endings whether you played the other two games or not.

Basically, TMS is a test of 1. Whether you played the first two games, 2. If you played paragon and 3. Whether you wasted your time combing the galaxy for assets, which I did in my first play-through and have decided never to do again.

FYI I maxed my assets from my first play-though (I can't remember the exact number, look it up on the wiki),  just by making paragon decisions and Galaxy combing.

I didn't do paragon campaign, more 75/25, and I know after a point the points become overkill but at the same time this gives the effort meaning. Otherwise it IS just time "wasted." I agree your source logic just not your final view.

It isn't a score in any meaningful sense though. It is just plot decisions, essentially. Especially since you are ignoring MP promotions / N7 Spec Ops team.

My Spec Ops team is more powerful than the rest of the galaxy combined so I don't even bother hunting down all the very last searchable war assets any more.
