Probably not. "Coup de grace" was specifically for finishing off fallen knights by slipping a thin dagger through the helmet's eye slit, or through a gap in the armor.
If you want to nail somebody with a missile, it probably works best with the Arrow of Slaying.

You can't backstab with ranged weapons in the first place, so no.
