I ran into one yesterday while playing my K Sent. It was like having a rolly=polly pet that let me steam roll a chain of heavy melees across the enemy lines. In that case, it didn't bother me in the slightest. When my engies or infiltrators get locked up, it annoys me greatly.

Bad. Nothing worse than a Volus following you around shield boosting every second, even when there aren't enemies around. Try to kill things instead.

Nothing wrong with doing that during hacks and escorts though.

Shield-Spamming for the team during objective waves (like drone-escort, hacking under fire) I find helpful. For everything else I would prefer communication before choosing a victim and shield-spam it.

I must say though that I'd much rather prefer a "noob" volus that spams shieldboost and gets a low score than a "noob" volus that doesn't use shieldboost and gets a low score.

I'm totally cool with someone standing next to me, refilling my shields and giving me DR, and shooting anything nearby in the kneecaps.

Hate it personally, especially when it locks me out of shooting and powers right in the middle of a crucial firefight.

I tend to try and avoid them as much as possible.

Its super annoying and not helpful at all. You would benefit your team more by bleeding out.

Mandatory to stay alive, but I don't follow teammates unless on objectives. Im scared to use stasis with the adept since you are asking to die.

You are the kind of volus players I avoid like the plague. Nothing like realizing your gun jammed in front of three dragoons thanks to a genius whose idea of contributing to the game is spamming shield boost incessantly, even when not required.

A Volus should never follow people around and Shield Boost spam. Unless in a Hack or Escort, a Volus should be carving a path of destruction through the enemies.

And even then, you need to NOT spam it and only use it when your team mates get hit, lest you lock them up with the Shield Boost glitch.
