I don't understand how it works; how to get 2 mods working at once e.g. the hair & face chargen files working at same time.
Please help?

Simply copy and paste the lines of code that are different into your original chargenmorph file. That should do the trick.

Each mod that alters character creation comes with a file called "chargenmorph", which goes into your override folder. This is the file that tells the game "yo, heads up, extra hairstyles/eye colors/etc available, look over there for the specifics ->".
What happens when you download a second mod and put its "chargenmorph" file into that same override folder, is that your computer tells you you cannot have two files with the same name. It then asks you to either replace the existing file or leave it alone. If you leave it alone, you keep the chargenmorph data of your first mod, but don't get the one from the second. If you replace, you lose the data from your first mod and gain the data from the second.
What needs to happen is that you make ONE chargenmorph file with all the data from all your appearance mods. Your computer can't do that in and of itself. So you can either do it manually, by opening the chargenmorph files in Notepad or a similar program and altering the one in override with any new data yourself, or you can use the Chargenmorph Compiler program: dragonage.nexusmods.com/mods/971
Chargenmorph Compiler recognizes any and all Chargenmorph files in your override folder *and its subfolders*, and when you click the magic button it combines them into one giant Chargenmorph in the appropriate place with all necessary data. Since you can't have two chargenmorphs in override itself, what you can do is every time you download a new mod, you create a subfolder for it within override and put it in there. Your computer won't whine about duplicate files, and Chargenmorph Compiler will be able to spot it. Then run Compiler and presto, lots of extra goodies for the Warden/Hawke.

The Chargenmorph Compiler is a bit flawed. Better to manually edit the file yourself.

chargenmorph compiler gets people into more trouble than necessary. There are hordes of people that think certain mods don't work with each other just because the compiler is bad at its job. All it really does is copy and paste one mod into another. A human with two eyes + logic can do this ten times better. Furthermore, the lines themselves are easy to understand. Not something difficult to fathom like the coalesced editing you need with mass effect.
