I agree with you btw OP.

This is something I hate

Perfectly placed and manageable spawn at the beginning of extraction. Guy slightly behind me in the scoreboard runs into nuke it for no reason, making extraction much more of a clusterf*ck:sick:

I made a thread about this months ago that got viciously flamed by the rest of BSN, btw.

I'm confused on what this thread is even complaining about...

Using missiles on extraction? As long as we GOT to extraction and there weren't any situations earlier where their missiles would have saved the team a whole lot of medigel, I don't care how people use their missiles after I get paid.

He complains about using missles on extraction and causing those bosses you (not you personally of course, just "you" in general terms) just nuked on your end of the map to spawn right next to those noobs struggling to reach the LZ, THEN going to BSN and stroking your epeen by posting how many ks of points you where ahead of everybody else AND complaining about how stupid noobs are in general.

with that cp figure and your BSN presence you should be intelligent (and considerate) enough to nuke only spawns that don't have the above mentioned effect.
For an easy example: FB Rio, nuking those two Praetorians at the generator station without making sure someone is blocking the spawn right next to the LZ. Causes the noobs to run right into the loving embraces of - surprise - two praets that for some reason just spawned there. Been there died that way.

There spelled it out for everybody. Correct me if i'm wrong OP.

If the player has tried during the game, i'll likely go to the LZ to help if they don't follow me to somewhere else to wait for the clock to run down.

However if the pugs are bad and bleed out every single time, i will instead be clapping when they get ganked. Unfortunately such scenarios will more than likely have me at 0 rockets or i would be quite willing to "help" them along

touché.... Only if that vorcha was someone with high challenge point and this forum visitor which I haven't checked in the video, would he exactly fit the kind of person that this OP is complaining about....

Well it's kinda double... If you are in the LZ and the clock is not between  0:10 and 0:01 then it's kinda your own fault and you should die and feel bad for bringing the gools to the LZ early.

If someone is nuking stuff in the back of the map and they respawn in the LZ and you are there hiding/fighting/ducking then you deserve to die, because your ass belongs also somewhere in the back of the map.

computron, that was not the point I was trying to make.... If you pug, I pug 100%, you tend to have no expectation from the other people. You go out there and do your job, revive others, do objectives, extract, get paid that's at least what I have in my mind when I play. The pug might bleed out often, not use consumables or mess up the spawns by nuking them, but this is what makes it a pug experience and going into a pug match you have to atleast mentally prepare yourself for these scenarios...

However once in a while there comes a "random" with high experience and the tell tales of he visiting these forums... and this is the important part I cannot stress enough you then think that okay the game might go a bit smoothly cause he knows what he is doing... and then much to your chagrin he whips out his cobra missiles and empties all on the extraction wave severely jeopardizing the extraction of others..... that you start to wonder and shake your head.... then you come to this forum and find pretentious threads like Things pugs say.. on the front page going upto 17 pages with people chiming about how atrocious the pugs are....??

I prefer games where no single missiles were used tbh. I will only use them to save someone from a synch-kill or in a critical situation.

if I do otherwise, something pissed me off IRL or ingame and it has nothing to do with score. "Ragekets" pretty much. Because let's face it, it happens.

Its not Kirchora, and neither am I talking about holding the LZ, since like I said, everyone who visits these forums knows how horrible this idea is. Just look at Djecker's video link it perfectly describes the scenario I am talking about.... only thing missing for that vorcha is the tell-tale of a frequent visitor here and then this OP would be about no one else but him....

That's why i chose Rio for my example, because you can just as easily get killed by those two praets while running around in the center of the map, while that incosiderate ****** rambos it at the generators. No LZ camping required for major suckage!

So your complaint is that some people on BSN are jerks?

Is that really shocking?

and yeah its not shocking but disappointing..... but then again its just a game and I don't like getting all serious about it!! just wanted to vent my anguish over other's bearing the brunt of their recklessness that's all....

Noblesse obliege isn't something everyone follows by, it's up to the player in the end. Though I can relate to rockets messing up objective waves, especially from fellow players met thru bsn.

Meh, on Wave 11, I only ever use my rockets for good -- i.e. clearing the way to the LZ as we're running there with 20 seconds to go or missiling the horde party on top of a dying teammate so we can either rez him or he can gel in safety.

Score hos, unfortunately, are probably never gonna stop being score hos. But not everybody is that way, thankfully.

Extraction wave missiles? I just wonder why you didn't use them before. But to use them on wave 10 to negatively effect the objective is just a dick move.

Its a "True PUG" who does this for me hence I am less disappointed since I've experienced it all the time ... The people I am talking about actually wait for them to get paid before emptying all of them on extraction wave.....

Oh right - I was wondering what you were getting at...

I use missiles when:

1: I need to; playing as a Juggy on platinum last night, drawing all the aggro onto myself to try and keep the route clear for the guy carrying the pizza... but it gets to a point when there are 2 Banshees, 2 Brutes and a couple of Primes hammering you that you think... yeah, I'm tanky but I'm not THAT tanky - MISSILE!

2: If I see a teammate being grabbed by a Banshee and I've got time - MISSILE!

3: There are a load of enemies tightly clustered together, say just spawned, and I think I can get a killstreak - MISSILE!

4: Assassination objective wave (especially 10)? MISSILE!

5: ... the important one ... when I lose my rag after interminable staggers, or getting sniped whilst doing an upload or any other myriad annoyances - MISSILE!

6: If I've got any left on extraction wave and that swarmer is looking at me funny... MISSILE!

I am nobody to tell anyone how to play this game. These are actually the most appropriate use of cobra missiles in my opinion.... but to solely use them on extraction wave just as the voice goes "rendezvous for extraction" and jeopardizing the extraction is a d*ck move in my books.....

I m okay if they want to score w**** by rocketing on extraction wave, I've seen it happen all the time, but I am angered by the fact that some of these people who I saw doing boast of high rankings, challenge points and the fact that they might frequent these forums as evident by their "alternate" banners, and do it so recklessly that it always jeopardizes someone else's extraction....

read the second last para of my op......

Ok well I agree with you but unfortunately it happens a lot on objective waves too and with experienced players. Even friends of mine, who usually behave, sometimes go nuking spawns because they "can't resist". I don't mind too much when the game runs smoothly and your badass team can handle a rough extraction. I agree that it's not something to do with low lvl pugs. But again, most people don't care about pugs and just play like morons when they're with strangers.

I still get a lot of "campers" on LZ at extraction. Had one last night where I was lone survivor on Reactor because the three randoms thought they could hold LZ. By the time I realized they didn't follow me back through the reactor to the control room in Sector C1, it was too late. Two where shived by Phantoms, the other bled out shortly after... I felt bad...

Don't get what the problem is here? People not using missiles on extraction? People using them? Sometimes I don't make the extraction 'cause I've have used up all my missiles or can't get one out fast enough, or whatever. I find that many players in PUGs try hard but some just get in levels above their experience level.

there are like already 4-5 posts explaining the problem, not to mention a helpful video link as well. But I'll still spell it out for you..... the problem being, some pretentious folks who are regular visitors to these forum, while at the same time bicker about how bad pugs are, that how they carry them and top the scoreboards by the thousands... but at the same time are caught solely rocketing spawns on the extraction wave because its so important for them to top the scoreboards since they are the enlightened ones with the knowledge about the game so how dare a petty random outscore them, that they go on a rampage on the extraction wave, which severely jeopardizes the extraction of other players...  That's what this OP was all about.....

I've used missile on wave 11 often. The first spawn is usually close to the LZ so destroying them quickly moves them to another part of the map, leaving the LZ clear (assuming nobody camps). Also, if you're playing bronze or silver nuking the boss spawns means there will only be little stuff to worry about for the rest of the time.

Also I adjust my gameplay based on others. If everybody is working nicely as a team I'm much more considerate than if nobody helps with objectives or never rezs anybody.

its a different story on gold and platinum... nuking them just makes them respawn at often undesirable spots.. unless you are rocketing to save a teammate or clearing out the LZ few seconds before extraction you are just plainly helping the faction instead of the team.... 4 phantoms respawning behind you is extremely unpleasant sight...

I know, on Gold and Platinum I usually avoid killing things to reduce aggro. I will missile if a large group of enemies are blocking my way to the extraction point though. The worst is when somebody has camped so all the enemies have crowded all the routes.
