Granted this is not a monumental feat by any means, but it does show me that he is beginning to grasp the game mechanics. If he keeps up at this pace, he is going to be a good player. He got his first taste of Silver pugs Saturday and did well placing second on the board consistantly. I'm going to try to get him started on challenges and get him on the forums more this weekend. He loves the Turian Soldier, Marksman, and the Eagle which is his current favorite build. I have to admit, I am a little jealous that his gift pack granted him an Eagle since mine is still stuck at Eagle III.
His girlfriend also plays using the same GT, she is way more conservative so she doesn't score very high. Still, she has to start somewhere. I am taking her under my wing a little to get her up to speed. I forsee her joining a group like Bronze Effect or something like that. That's perfectly fine for what she is looking for out of the game.
He on the other hand will be fun to run with in a pug once he unlocks some better gear and equipment for gold. He is struggleing with the Collectors right now. Not so much on Bronze, definitely on silver. He landed in pug on a silver version of the ThunderDome and he kinda freaked out.
He'll get the hang of it eventually...
