I am having trouble with the Recruiter Achievement. I have looked
through a lot of forums and FAQs about the issue. But im pretty sure
through two playthroughs, and multiple save files, i have recruited all
possible characters multiple times. I have dog, oghren, wynne, morrigan,
sten, leliana, zevran, alistair, and loghain. I have seen a couple bugs
that people have gotten the achievements, but then the achievements
only showed up online, not in the game. However this is also not the
case with me as well. Its not showing up on either the game or my
xboxlive profile.  Thanks ahead of time for
any help anyone can give me with this.

i didnt realize it but there is already a significantly longer thread about this exact topic here http://social.biowar...67/index/610762 where many people are having the same problem. I did send in this question to bioware support and they said they dont deal with these kind of issues and that the question should be put on these forums for answers.... which apparently there isnt any. I understand that bioware isnt responsible for every little personal issue that each player has, but this is apparently not a singular issue with just my game, but with many players out there.

hey  theres another post on it by a promise theres a fix.  Clear the cache.  Start a new came with female city elf.  Get to allistar in ostisgar and itll unlock.  i didnt beleive it at first but tried and it does.

well i appreciate the effort. I cleared the cache, did the female elf origin story. Collected allistair in ostagar and still nothin. Im doomed to 54 out of 55 achievements in this game. So depressing.

I think the problem is the same thing that caused the Specs to suddenly lock. the patch did something to make the game forget the cross play through links, like romances or specs.

Me too, I am sorry to say.  if it's not one glitched achievement issue it's another!

I just ran into this bug as well. I was in the middle of my second playthrough when I downloaded Return to Ostagar and also did the Title Update (about a week ago, when Return to Ostagar first became available). Finally got to the end of the Landsmeet on my second playthrough and recruited Loghain. And to my dismay - no achievement popped up. Please tell me there will be a patch to fix this! I will try the tricks mentioned in this thread but am not too hopeful they would work.

You may have to download Stone Prisoner DLC and get Shale. Your copy of the game may have a redeemable code in order to get Shale for free, but otherwise can't help.
