Best part of this show is still the Wardruna they get for various big scenes.
Aww yiss.

Nice, a Vikings thread. I just finished watching S1 & 2 this past week, and I definitely felt like I was missing out; it's a fantastic show. I've even screen-capped some of my favourite moments for my Tumblr blog, but this one's probably my favourite:

Love Lagertha. Love that this show has a couple other awesome canucks on it, too.

Why am I out of likes?
I want to Blood Eagle whoever put a daily limit on likes.
Been reading about the sack on Paris and the historical account is crazy epic. They were some insanely ambitious warriors. I hope the show does it justice. Found this image of Lagertha and I'm wondering what the hell is going on here:

Speaking of wardruna, I like this one:
Good News, Everyone!
Vikings Season 3 premieres tomorrow.
I nearly shat myself when I saw Ian Beattie, Meryn Trant in Game of Thrones, playing uncle and one of two usurpers to the princess of Mercia (chick that craves Viking D from last season). Good premiere though, I thought.
will watch it in 5 months if it's not an absurd experimental erotic series like GoT.
I'm excited for Season 3!
I find this thread lacking the in Lagertha department though!
MOAR LAGERTHA PLS!

Objectively the best woman.
Why is Ragnar's son trying to steal his hairstyle now tho
The way they've evolved Lagertha is remarkable. From a homebody to a jarl. How many shows would have snuffed her out after she left Ragnar? It's a savvy move by Hirst, if not entirely historically accurate. After the first episode of season 3:
-Athelstan is f*cked. The look Ecbert gave him when he handed him the rosary was clear - you are mine, son.
-Lagertha might die late in the season.
-Floki will go his own way. He's too unpredictable for Ragnar, too fundamentally pagan.
-Ragnar got more than he bargained for with princess Kwenthrith. She's lying to him.
Just my predictions.
So was the Mercian Princess having an orgasm while watching the battle? A seizure? what was up with that

I trouble reading that as well. At first she seemed like she was in agony, and I thought she was mourning her uncle. But then after that first scream she seemed like she was excited.

The problems of being familiar with the legend before hand...
Aslaug according to the legend stayed with Ragnar until he died (at the age of 90odd in a snake pit), Lagertha is mentioned as going on to rule Hedeby until sh dies, btu she never reconciles with him. This irks me because Aslaug isn't a 1/3 as interesting as Lagertha.
Obviously there are going to be differences between the legend and the show, namely Bjorn being the eldest of Rangar's children, the existence of Rollo as his brother (possibly going to go the path of the historical Rollo and become Robert I of Normandy, whose descendent William de Normandie was somewhat important)
Also Kalf and Ecbert should get acquainted, they strike me as peas in a pod

She has weird quirks about her, like her toothy smile and wild stare. There was no mention of her uncle's fate if they should win the battle, but most of the time kings and royalty were not killed, they were ransomed off. I wonder if both her and Ragnar were surprised that Floki killed him on the spot. Ragnar himself was looking at her in astonishment after she nodded to him, so something's up and I'm not sure what it is. Also, I thought it was a clever reference when Ragnar and the princess were talking on the ship and Floki was scrutinizing them, twirling his finger. We all know Ragnar's weakness is women, and earlier when Aslaug asked if he loved her, he just stared.

the man cannot keep it in his pants, that's for sure
but I definitely see a new love conflict between Ragnar/Aslaug and Kwenthrith, and Lagertha/Ecbert
I just hope the show goes far enough to show Ivar the Boneless grown up.
Dude was a BAMF.
all of Ragnar's kids were badasses in their own right
Great show. Too bad it's underrated. Pretty much the opposite of Game of Thrones: bad show and overrated.
Did the people on this site just forget about Vikings? The second episode just passed by without any say-so about it.
Anyway, I enjoyed the recent episode… That, and I hope Athelstan gets laid. He deserves it.

Haha yep. Hopefully that naughty dreams girl will put the moves on him.

He lays with her and he'll get crucified all over again. Last episode was good, but I hope they don't take the mysticism any further, or the series won't feel grounded. I mean the seer is spot on, all the time. As for intrigue, King Ecbert wooing Lagertha is purely political, and as I said before, Kwenthrith is not to be fully trusted. She has a screw loose or something. I predict they'll get drawn up into the mountains and lose the next battle. Floki will ******. Lagertha will have to sail back home to kick pretty boy out of her village. Ragnar will have to start using his head again.
